Kellin's POVI froze as I heard the voice of Bert from behind me, "You two were skipping school!" Ashley turned around and rolled his eyes and sighed, "Oh my, you caught them, good job. Should I clap or just leave you to deal with the two?" Bert sneered at him, "Preferably the latter, cowboy." Ashley shook his head, "Damn right I am. I'm an outlaw so why don't you run back to the managers and cry to them and tell them you 'caught' Kellin and Vic in a room with me after school. See how they react."
Ashley had a point, we could've gone back to our room before the next session to put away books or grab something.
Bert glared at us but he knew Ashly was right, "Whatever." He turned on his heel and stormed out of our room.
"Hm, anyhow, you two should head to the lounge before he finds out a way to get all three of us in trouble." Ashley shooed us out of the room and into the hallway, we didn't need telling twice as we raced to the lounge to wait for the next session then snack.
"Dude, it was so lucky Ashley unlocked our door, what if he hadn't and someone else did, or no one opened it and we had to go into lockdown!" I smiled, Vic was so cute when he looked anxious.
"It's fine, he always unlocks it after school, he was actually the one who told me how to get out of school." Vic opened his eyes wider, "What, how?" I shrugged, "I dunno, kinda makes me think like it's like Harry Potter and it's like a marauder map sorta thing. Like he's passing down an old trick, a legacy."
Vic smiled, "I wonder if he was hospitalized here or something." I honestly didn't know, we weren't supposed to get close to the nurses though I knew a lot about them. Oli had an ex-wife named Hannah and was now dating a model named Alissa, Austin and Alan were together and Ashely had a husband, Andy.
But I didn't know much about his past as I did about Oli. Oli wasn't secretive, he loved to tell people his troubles and how these sorts of places had helped him, and could hopefully help us as well.
"Kellin?" I shook my head and entered reality again, the whole room was staring at me, save Gerard who only looked at Frank. "Sorry what?" I asked casually glancing around the room, "We're doing check in Quinn."
"Aw, thank you Bert, sorry 'bout that, day dreaming of getting the hell out of here." Austin smiled, "Soon I hope."
"Me too brother, anyhow okay, check in. I'd say a six, I'm not terrible." Vic smiled, "I'd say a seven." He took my hand secretly though I knew Austin saw it as he winked at me."Well then, we have a few minutes before snack, what do guys want?" I knew what everyone wanted, yogurt or chips, milk and graham crackers, anything that wasn't made here because the food here sucked except maybe the rice crispy treats they'd make.
"Okay, what about you Kellin? You have to have a snack." I sighed, I hated food.
"I'm not hungry." I lied easily though I knew Ashley wouldn't take any of that bullshit. "Yes you are, what do you want." It was worth a try I guess.
"Uhg, fine. I'll have milk." Ashley rose an eyebrow, "And?" I rolled my eyes, "And graham crackers." He nodded, "Good." He left the room leaving us alone with Bert and Austin.
Bert came up to us, "I know you think you fool everyone, but I promise you I will catch you doing something bad. I swear." Vic looked nervously at me but I squeezed his hand in reassurance, "I look forward to it."Bert left, "What an asshole."
