Chapter 34: The introduction

As we all sat down in the living room quiet as a mouse, Una decided to break the awkward silence she stood up and introduced herself "Well some of you don't know me... I'm UNA, project U" she said with excitement in her voice. "Wait you're project U? A basement project..." project S (girl) announced. Una looked at her with a confused face " so what about it...?" She asked with her excitement turning into nervousness. "Nothing... I'm Project S... also known as Starr. I control darkness which can be very weird at times I'm also a basement project" Starr explained while smiling at una. Sandman stood up and started introducing himself as well "I'm also project S but I'm the first S (looking at Starr) I control Sand. I can make it light, heavy, shape, or deadly... you name it.. I'm Sean." Sean said while looking at us. Number 4 looking all confused.. "how can there be two of the same letters?" He asked I looked at him and said "I don't know.. but i know I wasn't the only K". Starr asked "what happened to the other K"? I looked at her with a sad look... "never mind I'm sorry" Starr said while looking down. "So what about you number 4" Micah said looking at him. "I'm number 4 my name is Lucas. I can make anything into a weapon." He told us. "So why the numbers"? Monique asked. "It's like our rankings from strongest to weakest.. I just so happen to be in a top 5. But honestly it's some strong higher numbers, they just don't care about rankings so they stay at the number that was assigned to them." Lucas explaining to us. Jill stood up and said "I'm project J and I can turn invisible" she immediately sat back down . "well I'm Monique and this is my twin Micah (while pointing to Micah) were twins. We're not gonna tell you our abilities yet but it's great to have you on our side." Monique said with a cheerful voice. "I guess it's my turn" I said getting up, everyone stared at me "you all know me, I'm project K, my name is Kevin I don't properly know what my true abilities are but I know I have all of the projects abilities maybe... I don't know. I can also mimic other abilities like I did with Lucas's but it doesn't last for long... I'm gonna be a dad soon. (Pointing at Micah) she's my girl who's carrying my baby or babies, i don't know yet....." I paused and took a deep breathe " I want to take down father and the numbers before they try to destroy the place we all live on... and honestly I also want answers." I paused again looking everyone in the eyes one at a time "We're gonna recruit more projects so they can help us take down father." I said sounding so heroically. "So you're the leader then Kevin" Una said jumping with happiness. "Sounds like it" Sean said. "You have my vote" Lucas burst out loud. "YESSS KEVIN" Monique yelling. "Hmm I don't care" Starr saying nonchalantly but secretly smiling. Micah grabbed my hand and said "you can do it, I... no We believe in you". I looked down for a bit and smiled and looked back up and said "I'll do it. I'll be the leader. But let's all get some rest because tomorrow will be a big day." Everyone walked off Sean left and told us "I'll be back" and Starr and Lucas both in front of me asking "can I stay please?" I looked at them and asked " why?" Lucas explained "well I have no place to go anymore I'm like a rebel now" and Starr said "I never had a place to call home and I feel so welcomed here with you all" I looked and said " I don't know." Una walked up to us and grabbed Starr's hand "well Kevin she can share a room with me" i hunched my shoulders and said "alright" I looked at Lucas and told him "well you can stay in the garage, it's clean and have furniture in there so it's like a house already, if you need anything just come in and ask." He hugged me and said "thank you so much" and he walked off into the garage. Everyone else was getting ready for bed... so I thought I'd do the same.
