Finding Him 24

It was announced later in the week that Lucas and I won the competition of most creative way to ask someone to the dance. We won to free tickets to the dance and a special suprise. Lucas and I decided to take a break from studying for finals Wednesday night just to hang out.

"So what do you want to do?" Lucas asked me as we sat on my couch in the living room.

"Hmm, I dont know." I said. "Want to make cupcakes?" I suggested.

"But cupcakes are just pretty muffins." Lucas said.

"Well cupcakes are bomb! So do you want to make them?" I asked again.

Lucas nodded his head yes and we went to my kitchen. We got out everything we needed and started mixing the ingredients.

"How is this?" Lucas asked me as he finished mixing everything.

"I think you look good but you would look better with a mustache." I said to him as he looked at me confused. Then I dipped my fingers in the batter and wiped batter across his upper lip. "That's better." I said laughing.

Soon enough we were both completely covered in batter. "That's what you get when you try to fight me." Lucas said jokingly.

"Oh yeah! Come at me, Lucas." I said as I jumped toward him. I stared into his eyes as he looked back into mine.

"Bring it." He said getting closer and closer.

"Oh I will." I said as I leaned in and kissed him. I could feel the sparks fly. Then my front door swung open and my parents walked in. Lucas and I pulled back.

"What happened in here?" My mom asked referring to all the batter on the floor and walls.

Lucas could barely keep a straight face when I told my mom that I tripped. She just except the answer and walked out of the room. Once she was gone webursted into laughter.

"Moments like these are perfect." Lucas said to me.

"Why?" I asked him "We are both covered in batter and cupcakeless."

"Any moment when I am with you is perfect." Lucas said smiling. Then he leaned close and kissed me once more. It felt like time stopped and we were the only people left in the world. The butterflies in my stomach went wild.
