Finding Him 25

I was so excited for the dance. On Friday Meg, Lauren, and I got out of school early to go get our hair done for the dance. We were all way to excited for the night. Everyone met at Lucas's house at 5:30 to get pictures. Megs date was a boy named Derek and Laurens date was a boy named Adam. I think we all looked adorable in our dresses. Mine was light blue to match my eyes. When Lucas first saw me in it his whole face lit up. The way he looked at me gave me butterflies. Once we were done taking pictures we went to the country club where the dance was being held. It looked amazing in there. There were stars hanging from the ceiling everywhere. As soon as the first song came on Lucas came over to me and said "Can I have this dance?".

I smiled real big, stood up, and he took my hand leading me to the dance floor. With in second everyone was on the dance floor. I looked all around and tried to find Megs and Derek but I couldn't find them dancing anywhere. Then I saw Megs run out the main door with tears streaking down her face.

"I am so happy to be here with you, Em." Then Lucas slowly leaned in and tried to kiss me.

I jumped away. "I'm sorry but I have to go find Meg." I ran off the dance floor holding my heels in my hand. And there I left Lucas standing alone on the dance floor.</3
