I walk in standing next to Tom. I almost allow a blush to tint my face. I curtsy and Tom bows before we take our places at the table. I sit next to my brother Maven while Tom gently smiles at me from his seat next to Aya. They really are twins. I can't help but think to myself. The only difference in looks are Aya's longer hair and darker eyes. The large extended families of house Iral and Merandus file in next to me and Tom from their place at the end of the room where they watched us enter from. After them is house Samos followed by every other house. Mother talked for a long time but I didn't listen to a word she said. Just as she finished speaking, red servants place food and red wine in front of everyone at the table. I quickly drink my wine in an attempt to forget I was surrounded by silver elite. I hate them. I hate them all. My glass was immediately refilled but I ignored it. The room temperature was increasing. I knew it was Bela because Maven and Cal could control themselves. I stared at her frantically attempting to get Aya's attention. When Aya looked up she immediately understood and wormed her way into Bela's head to calm her down. When the room returned to its normal temperature I knew she had gotten into her head. Just then, she turned to gaze at Iris. Iris was sitting right next to a close cousin from house Merandus. I believe his name was Samson. Iris was staring at Jacob and he didn't care. She seemed slightly annoyed at this, but then she suddenly shot up from her seat, catching the attention of everyone there. Mother glared at her for a moment and opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted as Iris stood on her chair and raised her hand to allow the metal of her gown to flow around it and become a steel gauntlet. She then smashed it into the table repeatedly before falling to the floor, unconscious. I looked to Aya with fear and anger filling my eyes. I stood up and left without saying a word. I pulled the silent stone beads from my dress, tears filling my eyes. I allowed them to fall for the first time in years. I feared social situations, even more so when something awkward happens. I can't really blame Aya because I never told her but I can't help being angry. I passed father's office and the picture of Coriane outside. My wrist bumped the wall causing my bracelet to spark. The image was immediately engulfed in flames. I gasp in fear as I hear Aya and Tom calling my name behind me. I grasp the picture and run. As I run past a bedroom, I toss the no longer burning remains under their bed. I don't stop to think about whose room it is and continue running for my room. As soon as I enter, I lock the door and enter a side room that my mother had reds build for me. The fire proof walls were stained with black scorch marks. The burnt ropes and pillows and other various objects had been replaced with new ones. I finally let all my anger out for the first time in 2 years. By time I had calmed down even a little, everything was gone. Not even ash was left behind. I slowly fell to the ground sobbing. I noticed the banging and shouting coming from the door. I was sure the people outside were my best friend and her twin. My breathing began to slow and I shut my eyes, allowing the flames to rage on as I drifted off to sleep and heard footsteps enter the room.

This chapter is a bit shorter than the last one I wrote. I think, in a way, I kinda wish I really was Emalyn. I have created many characters that are extensions of myself. Emalyn is one of the most developed of these characters. Idk why I'm telling you this. Emalyn had a nervous breakdown in this chapter because just before I had written, I myself had a nervous breakdown. I've been a bit stressed lately so if my writing starts seeming a git more rushed and panicked it's because of school and.. humans. I should probably go... I'll see ya next week..
