The Mis-Fits Among the Mis-Fits

Aya's POV

"You will pay an expensive price for his death, you will pay for not saving her, in the end, you helped kill her," I wake up crying from my dream. "I... wanted... to... help..." I say in between each sob. I get off my bed put on my slippers and go to the sink. I fill it up all the way and then plunge my head into the water. The cold water is like steel knives on my skin, yet it calms me down. The cold water numbs my face and pain. I exit the room and go to the chamber. I see Gareth walking towards Em's room. He starts shaking when he sees me, "Gareth where are you going, shouldn't you be asleep?" I stop and ask him. "I had a nightmare, I'm going to see Em." He replies his voice frail, yet his tone sweet, "do you think she's awake right now?" He asks ever so innocently. I shake my head, "Most likely, even though she rarely admits it, she can hardly sleep at night." And with that, we part ways. I head to the chamber without seeing anyone again. When I get there no one is there, as expected. It feels good to be in a large space alone. The roof is high which comforts me. I lay on the bed for what feels like a couple hours. I am back to my normal state, no one can see you at your weakest times. The members of the court are like vultures, if they see you grow weak they will attack you. I think to myself as I go back to the room. The sun is starting to glow and gently rise, luckily no one notices that I'm missing. Then again it's like 3:30 a.m. Who would be crazy enough to wake up at such an hour other than the reds. Even then the reds would still be preparing for the day. With that, I grab a book from my desk and start reading on my bed.

Sorry, I updated late, but at least I updated on Wednesday. The real Sare, aka the owner of this account, went to Florida, so I deatheater713, aka the author of Aya's POV was stuck updating for her, hope you enjoyed the chapter.
