I danced with Thomas after Bela and Maven danced. After that, a guard came, Lucas Samos, "Lady Aya, Lord Thomas, Prince Maven, Lord Jacob, Princess Emalyn, and Princess Isabela, the Queen summons you to the small meeting room that is next to the ballroom." I nod at him, "Why summon all of us?" asks Tom as we walk. "Mother, what else would you presume Tom-Tom," I answer using my childhood nickname for him. "Why invite us all then Yaya," he retorts with my nickname as a child. We enter the room and, as I suspected, I find my Aunt Elara and mother having a conversation. We each bow to them, but when it reaches Tom and I, we do it in perfect sync, "Queen Elara, Lady Merandus," we say coldly. I see the witch who birthed me shudder, "Must you two always be in perfect sync," she criticizes. The truth is that we are just using our powers. "Whatever do you mean Lady Merandus," we say in a blank tone. "Anyways," interrupts the Queen, "we came to discuss Thomas and Aya's father. Believe me when I say that it concerns all of you. What do you know about your father?" Tom and I look at each other, this time I am the only one who speaks, "He most likely is a Merandus based on our powers. He must have had skin like mine, so tan, black-gray-brown eyes, like mine, and must have been fairly tall to explain our height." Elara smiles, she is aware that this is our conclusion, not fact. Mother answers this time, "You are correct my dear, for all but one. He was not a Merandus." I hear a gasp from everyone but the queen. "You two are very curious," she says in a calm manner, "Let me get to the part that tells you who your father is. As it may be strange your father is Lord Jager, Jacob's uncle. This explains the reason for your intelligence and grace." I start to feel heavy, my breathing quickens. Tom senses this and asks in my head whether or not I was okay. All of a sudden my vision blacks out and I feel nothing.

Pretty short chapter. May I add (as I am unsure of whether this has been covered in previous chapters), that as a child, Aya Merandus was consistently sick. I'm not sure if that's what the Author Aya intended or if she simply meant for it to have been a panic induced narcoleptic attack. What the hell, that sounded waaay too proper to be me, lmao. Sorry for the long A/N.
