I rolled my eyes ever so slightly. "I do not need your lessons. Leave my room immediately. Reds! Fix my door! Now!" Aya looked confused. "But," one of them began. I didn't even bother to notice who it was before I interrupted them, "I told you to leave." My voice was now a low growl, warning them that if they stayed too long they would get hurt. Most of them turned and left but Aya, Maven, and Tom all lingered. My face never changed from the bland, neutral expression I wore. "Em," Maven's voice was soft and I suddenly longed to talk with him like we used to. "Aya. Thomas. Leave. Or you'll get burnt." They both hesitantly left, knowing I was serious. "Maven," my voice was softer as I couldn't bear to be mean to my brother. His face softened as my expression turned to one of pain. He shuffled forward and I stood just as he pulled me into his embrace. He was quite a bit taller than me so my head rested on his chest. "It's alright little sis." Maven murmured. I simply hugged him tighter in response. After a few silent moments, he let go and I softly spoke, "Thank you, big brother." He smiled at my words. "Of course Em. I love you, sis. Lay down and calm down. I need to talk to Tom and Aya." I nod and move slowly to my bed. My door had already been fixed and Maven shut it on the way out. I silently thanked him once more and drifted into a nightmare plagued sleep.
