Today we celebrated the life of a woman of God who went home. This lady was the epitome of the idea of a woman of God. However, just like everyone, she had to wave goodbye to this world.

Funerals make you realize just how short life is. They make you realize that life can be taken away quicker than it can be given. They make you treasure those around you.

Tonight, as I lay in bed, I thank God for my treasures.

My favourite quote goes, "there is no blood between us, no common family history

My favourite quote goes, "there is no blood between us, no common family history. Yet there are no barriers of background, or even age. Older, younger, richer, poorer- no matter. We speak the same language, we have come together in a special moment of time. How generous is God that He has given me these men and women I can call friends"

Who are my treasures pictured above?

Here we have Myra, Kalie, Courtney, and Mason in the front and me, Haley, and Brittany in the back

Here we have Myra, Kalie, Courtney, and Mason in the front and me, Haley, and Brittany in the back.

Mason is where it started. Mason and I have been friends since grade school, and have come together as a powerful ministry duo.

Then came Kalie. Kalie and I have a dynamic like no other. Quite simply, I am Peter and she is Paul. We are two halves of the same whole. We had that instant connection and have proven to be a wonderful pair.

Courtney and Brittany followed. Courtney and I knew each other for a couple of weeks and grew quite close, but then our friendship really took off when we became snot sisters at Winterfest. One night at Winterfest I was in great distress under demonic attack, and long story short I snotted on Courtney. Courtney and I were connected before we even knew each other, but that's a story for another day.
Brittany and Courtney come as a pair just as me and Kalie and me and Mason, so soon after Courtney and I got close, Brittany and I did too. It's all laughter, love, and low-blow jokes between us.

Haley came right after Courtney. We came together on our many van rides together during winterfest. We sat in the back of the van worshipping and laughing constantly. Haley is one of those people where you can feel the favor of God radiating off of her.

Then there's Myra. Myra is the mom of Kalie, and by being the mom of Kalie she is the mom of us all. She devotes her time to making sure we feel loved, worthy, and priceless and to making sure we are growing with God the way we need to be.
