Love-sick: A deep, often depressing, feeling of wanting to find love; to be loning for love; to be without a companion to share ones life with, though it is desired deeply.

Love-sick people are all around us, especially love-sick teenagers. You get on Facebook and Instagram and you see where the sophomore is in love with the 4th girl this month, the 19 year old that has a baby on the way and the daddy's with another woman but she still loves him, and post after post about love poems/quotes.

If they're not seeking out the love of an SO they are seeking after the love of the material things. As we know that creates an even greater fall than seeking the love of and acceptance of another person.

You see all of these people chasing after love that they never find satisfaction in. You see them become more and more lock-sick as they go through "love" after "love" but never reaching true happiness and never experiencing self-actualization.

There is a better alternative to the love-sickness the world feels. There's the love-sickness you should feel as a Christian.

Love-sick: in love, or missing the person one loves, so much that one is unable to act normally.

We can (and SHOULD) be love-sick for Christ. We are called to be love-sick worshipers. We should be so in love with Christ Jesus that we are totally unable to act normal. We should be so in love with Christ that we miss Him and long for His return. Like that old gospel song goes, "My heart is set on that heavenly throne, and my mind is stayed on Jesus my Lord. Well it seems I can hear a heavenly song. I just stopped by on my way home."

You see, when you step into the love of Christ, you know it. There's no other feeling like it. The love of Christ brings freedom. When we finally give up the darkness and allow the light of Christ's love to shine through, everything changes. Everything we once held dear, we count it all as lost. Suddenly all those things that used to matter so much, matter no more in the light of Christ. Suddenly those AP classes we were stressing over,  the job we were so frustrated with, and the lost friendship you suffered so much heartache over seem to dull in comparison to what truly matters. Your spiritual eyes begin to open up and you see what God has laid before you and what truly matters.

When we step into the love of Christ, we become love-sick; when we become love-sick, we can love sick people. We can can begin to show true, genuine compassion on people. We can love people with the love of Christ.

It's when we become a love-sick person that loves sick people that the world begins to change. That's when Pentecostal revivals begin breaking out and people begin getting saved, people begin getting healed, people begin getting baptized in the Holy Ghost. That's when we begin to be able to boldly come against spirits and breakthroughs happen.

When love-sick people love sick people, everything changes.

Abba, Father, make us love-sick for you. Tonight, we step into the love of Jesus Christ.
