In life's hardest and most frustrating times we often forget that His ways are good. His ways aren't our ways, but they are good. Isaiah 55:8 says, "for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD." That's often a hard thing to grasp because we live in a mindset where it's our way or the highway. With God and His plans we can't have it our way, it has to be His way.
The cool thing is though, God knows not only the past and present, but also the future. He knows how to direct our paths to the best outcome because He knows where we're coming from, where we're at, and where we're going; whereas we only know where we came from and where we're at.
It's hard to trust in a path we cannot see, but that's what faith is. However, we're to live by faith, not by sight according to 2 Corinthians 5:7, "for we live by faith, not by sight." Our sight can fail us (both literally and metaphorically,) but God never will.
THIS WAS FROM WEEKS AGO AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT WAS GOING SO I'M JUST GOING TO PRAY
Heavenly Father, Lord I praise You and thank You that Your ways are much greater than our ways. You know our past, present, and future. You know where we're going and where we've been. Lord I just pray that You'll guide us in where we're going. You know the path where we don't. Guide us just like You led the the Israelites with the cloud by day and fire by night. I pray You'll be a lamp unto our feet, Lord. Help us to walk Lord, help us.
