It's crazy to think about how God places a gift in each of our imperfect vessels. Then He uses that gift and our imperfect vessels to glorify His perfect upside down kingdom. That's something I'm slowly realizing. I am an imperfect vessel with a perfect gift within me that God uses to glorify and grow His perfect upside down kingdom. But the thing is we have to stir up that gift. God isn't going to stir it up for us. We have to stir is up. Sure, we can ask God to help us to stir it up. We can ask God for the enthusiasm to stir it up. We can ask God for the guidance to stir it up. But we have to stir it up ourselves. We have to grab the fire poke and poke the embers and set the flame back blazing. That gift isn't going to do anything for us or God if we don't stir it up. Embers don't keep houses warm. Embers don't illuminate darkness. Embers don't draw in people. Flames do! And flames have to be stirred up from embers!
So today, 95 days before YWAM, I'm stirring up my gift.
Heavenly Father, thank you for this gift you have set in me, an imperfect vessel. Thank you for not calling the qualified but qualifying the called. Lord, give me the guidance and the enthusiasm I need to stir up the gift that is set within my spirit.
