Steve screamed loudly and fell to the floor, dropping his sword in shock. Dusky began to growl. Herobrine, who was leaning against the staircase, began to slowly walk up, however, at the first step he took, Dusky's growls turned into vicious snaps and barks. Steve pushed himself as far up to the door as he could and began trying to reach the handle. Steve's breathing was sharp and uneven, his heart threatening to burst in his chest.

Herobrine's eyes were glowing brightly, a shark-like grin across his face. Dusky had enough; he was too close to Steve. She charged at him, intending to rip his face off for making Steve suffer, but Herobrine merely picked her up by the scruff roughly. He tossed her too the side and she crashed onto the wall, dazing her badly as she fell to the floor.

"Dusky!" Steve yelled, concerned for his dog's well being. Unfortunately, Steve had bigger problems. Herobrine was glaring daggers at him. Steve shrunk under his terrifying gaze and whimpered loudly. Steve finally opened the door and sprinted out. Something grabbed his shirt and yanked him back into his house.

"Where do you think you're going?" Herobrine asked however it sounded more like a demand than a question. Herobrine pushed Steve onto the floor straddled him, grinning like a madman. Steve struggled under his iron grip but made no progress of escape. Tears stung his eyes.

Steve couldn't recall a time when he had been more petrified in his entire life. Minecraftia's very own demon had him pinned against the floor. There wasn't an escape. He tried his best to avoid looking into Herobrine's eyes but they were all he could see; those cold, unforgiving orbs that glowed unlike Steve has ever seen before. Herobrine was much more terrifying in real life than in a dream.

Steve tried to speak but found that he had lost his voice. Steve tried to move but all his body would do now was shake uncontrollably with fear and dread. His breathing got shallower, if that was even possible. This couldn't be happening. The smell of smoke touched Steve's nose. It came from Herobrine. His arms hurt from where Herobrine was gripping them.

"Your fear is so amusing, Stevie." Herobrine...complimented? "I could watch you like this all day." Steve didn't respond, how could he? His 'amusing fear' had him paralysed. "But we must go." Steve felt something hit his head, hard. The world began to spin and his vision darkened. Steve struggled to remain conscious. "Sweet dreams." Steve blacked out.

Dusky shook her head rapidly to stop the dizziness temporally. She saw Herobrine, with Steve him his arms. Rage boiled inside of her. She charged at Herobrine with all her speed but he teleported away before she could get to him. He took Steve with him. Dusky howled. Both yelling at herself for being so weak and hoping, praying, Steve would hear and come running through the door. Of course, this didn't happen.

Dusky had failed to protect Steve and now he is going to suffer for her mistake.

She had a small glint of hope though; that important man they visited...what was his name again? Notch? Yeah, that was it, Notch. Maybe Notch could save Steve. Steve seemed to greatly respect Notch.

Thankfully, the door was open from when Steve had attempted to escape.

Dusky was suddenly aware off the pain that was pulsing through her entire body and staggered slightly. She couldn't wait. The more she waited, the more time Herobrine had to hurt Steve. Her pain would have to wait. But how could she explain to Notch what happened? Humans couldn't understand her so how could she...Steve's sword! Notch could read Steve's name on the handle, where it was engraved. Dusky picked it up in her jaws and charged out the door.

Monsters were everywhere, as it was night. Dusky dodged and continued her pursuit. She had to show Notch and these monsters will definitely not stop her. Pain quickly engulfed her back leg and she fell to the floor, yelping loudly. She was shot by a skeleton.

She couldn't stop. She forced herself to get up. Dusky continued to Notch's castle, limping badly but still faster than the mobs around her. She ducked under a Zombie's swing and was too quick for a Spider. An Enderman teleported in front of her out of the blue. Surprised, she skidded to a hault.

"Go back home, dog." The Enderman sternly ordered. As she was a Mob herself, she could understand every word. The other monsters stopped in their tracks and formed a circle around Dusky. "Lord Herobrine has commanded us to stop you from leaving the house."

Dusky's heart sank slightly. How could she get past all of these monsters? An idea struck her like a lightening bolt. It would be risky and could cause her to die but it would be worth it all to save Steve.

In one swift movement, Dusky moved forward slightly, dropped Steve's sword, tilted her head and chomped down as hard as she could on the Enderman's leg. It screamed a head-splitting scream. She spat out the horrible taste, picked Steve's sword back up and sprinted on.

Even more monsters had arrived and were all chasing her down. Dusky limped and dodged. Something scratched her badly but she kept going.

Dusky received injury upon injury but still, she kept going. Another arrow had burrowed into her back. She had various bites and scratches where the monsters had almost got her. Pain racked through her entire body, muscles demanding more oxygen than they were receiving. She was tired, wounded and exhausted. She continued to Notch's castle.

The castle was coming into view now. Dusky had shaken off the monsters somewhere in the forest. Dusky dashed though the front gate into town. The guards yelled at her to halt and one chased after her. She couldn't stop now. Steve's sword still in her jaws, she dashed through the town. Everyone was either asleep or just in their houses.

Dusky burst into Notch's castle, more than a few guards on her tail now. Notch, who was sitting on his throne, seemed startled and off guard.

Dusky began to slow involuntarily. Her vision was fading as Notch hurried over to her. Her blood was leaking onto the floor. Dusky dropped Steve's sword and slid to the ground. She was hurt. Everything ached. She could no longer fight her body. She gave in and let herself be taken into the darkness of her mind.
