Pain was all Steve could feel now. Herobrine had came back later and tortured Steve more. Steve wasn't sure if it was day or night. All he had was when he passed out from either the lack of blood or sleep deprivation. Herobrine didn't stop.
Steve slowly examined himself for fatal injuries and was actually shocked to see only small cuts. He could have sworn Herobrine hurt him more than that. He let out a long, shaky sigh. His cheeks were wet from tears and his clothes tattered and bloody. He had to rip his t-shirt to make a temporary bandage. It worked but Steve wished he had just let himself die. That would have stopped this pain.
"Well you're still alive and kicking, Steve." He muttered to himself, it was a habit he picked up to distract him from it all slightly. Steve heard the familiar sound of the door opening and panicked. More torture. He began to cry again as a dreadful chuckle reached his ears.
Herobrine walked over to Steve, smirking the whole time. Steve cowered in pure terror as he was pushed up against the wall and forced to stand up straight. Fresh pain erupted from his side as he let out a gasp. Blood poured out of him. Herobrine threw the knife to the side then gave Steve an aggressive stare. Steve shrunk back. He could feel the chain digging into him slightly.
Without warning, Herobrine suddenly picked up Steve by the shirt, seemingly with ease. Steve tried yet again to struggle but got the same result. He became desperate and began to plead.
"Don't!" Steve begged, sobbing loudly. "I-I'll do anything, I swear!" Herobrine brought Steve closer as Steve let out a whimper. "Please! J-Just don't hurt me a-anymore!"
"Somehow, when you beg, you're even cuter." Herobrine chuckled. Steve was struck with confusion. As he tried to process what the unholy god had just told him, Herobrine slammed Steve against the wall. Steve was painfully snapped out of his thoughts and cried out. "Don't overthink that."
With excruciating pain in every cell in his body, Steve felt his vision dull. Herobrine must've somehow saw Steve's eyes begin to unfocus as he growled in annoyance and punched him in his stomach. Blood spluttered out from were he was cut a couple of minutes ago. Steve was winded and couldn't breathe properly. Herobrine dropped him back to the ground and walked out, the heavy door making a loud bang as he closed it behind him.
Steve fought to stay conscious. He had to stop the blood from coming out of the cut. He was about to tear off even more of his ripped shirt when he paused. Why even bother? Why bother to try and stay alive for as long as possible? Being alive meant pain. His stomach groaned in protest of lack of food and his mouth was dry. If his injuries didn't kill him, then lack of food and water certainly would. If he died then the pain would stop.
Nodding to himself, Steve felt satisfied at the thought. He would let himself bleed out. In fact, he would take off the fake bandages off his leg and arm as well. He unwrapped his leg to find it was no longer bleeding. Steve unwrapped his arm to find the same. All that was there was nasty looking scabs that looked like it would scar in both places. Sure, Steve had his fair share of scars but none would be as big as the ones on his leg and arm would be. Steve's vision was blurring.
"Come on Steve, you can't just give up." He told himself, without thinking of the words before they left his mouth. "Would Dusky want you to give up?" Steve shook his head. "No...she'd want me to cling onto life until there was nothing left to cling onto." He muttered quietly. "I guess, anyways."
Steve saw the glint of the knife in the dark. Oh yeah, Herobrine threw it at some point. At that moment, the world closed around him as he, once more, lost all consciousness and blacked out.

Dusky was having trouble keeping up. Notch was leading her to get her measurements. She had mostly recovered, thanks to some healing potions that the doctor gave her- who she found out was called Jack. She still had a very obvious limp but Jack said that it was best to walk it off. Notch would wait for her if he noticed she was struggling. Dusky wasn't very fond of being this slow as she was used to being much faster.
"It's not so bad, Dusky." Notch smirked slightly, obviously seeing her annoyance at her speed. "You amazed me; I have never seen a creature lose so much blood and then be fine to walk after two days."
They eventually got outside and reached the blacksmith, which was one of the closest buildings to the castle. They was met with a woman, about the age of 20, with brown hair and green eyes. She had filth all over her face but welcomed Notch and Dusky with a big, friendly smile. She seemed nice enough for Dusky. Suddenly, she bowed.
"Your majesty." She greeted. Notch looked slightly annoyed.
"How many times do I have to tell you to stop doing that, Jacqueline?" Jacqueline grumbled slightly.
"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Jack?" Notch chuckled.
"Touché." Jacqueline then seemed to notice Dusky. She gasped and crouched down. Dusky noticed her hands were dirty too.
"Is this your dog, Notch?" Jacqueline asked. "She's adorable! My brother would love her...if he wasn't allergic of course."
"No, Dusky isn't my dog; her owner has been kidnapped by...Herobrine." Notch had whispered the last part. Jacqueline quickly jumped up and her kind expression drastically changed into a furious one.
"That psycho!" She growled. "He's gone and done it again!"
"Which is why we must act immediately." Notch explained. "Dusky seems to want to help us get her owner back." Dusky barked in agreement at this. "Could you possibly have some diamond armour crafted for her?"
"It might take a while but I'll do it!" Jacqueline was smiling again. "I just need to take her measurements and then I can get to work!" Notch nodded.
"Thank you, I'm going to check up on the army, I'll be back shortly." Notch then walked up to Jacqueline. "Dusky was recently injured so be careful." He whispered in her ear. Dusky heard, thanks to her good hearing. Notch then walked back towards the castle.
