It was obvious to Steve that Herobrine wasn't going to plan their first date - the god was clearly worried about overstepping and ruining what had began between them - so he took it upon himself. Many ideas on what they could do swirled about his head and Steve finally decided on one: a picnic.
It was simple, so it would be easy for him to prepare. All he had do to was ask Notch if he could use the castle kitchen to make the food and decide on where they should eat. The biggest problem would be figuring out what he should wear (probably something nicer than what he wore everyday so he looked like he was trying, but obviously not a full tuxedo because that was probably too much for a picnic) so Steve felt as if he had the whole thing under control.

They had agreed to meet outside of the walls that surrounded Notch's castle and the town that sat before it, figuring the townspeople wouldn't take nicely to a known murderous god walking through the streets.
Tightly gripping the straps of the rucksack he held in front of him, having yet to put it on, with one hand and continuously fiddling with the collar of a blue button up Notch had gotten for him with the other, Steve waited for Herobrine to show up with an anxious disposition.
He was early, he knew he was early, and Herobrine wasn't likely to be here yet but that didn't stop the nervous throb of his heart as his brain immediately rushed to worst case scenarios. What if Herobrine showed up in much nicer clothes and Steve looked like he wasn't trying? What if Herobrine failed to show, leaving Steve standing outside the town walls alone? What if-
This wasn't helping him. Steve schooled his breathing and tried to calm down. It would be fine; Herobrine would show up and then they would walk to where he had chosen to have the picnic and the whole day would end up being amazing.
"Steve?" Finally came a voice on his right and Steve couldn't tell if he relaxed or if more nerves jolted through him when he heard it. He turned to face the god he had fallen for with a bright smile.
And his brain froze. There he was, wearing a black button up shirt that was darker than night and ever so slightly rumpled, the top two buttons left undone. Steve's hold on the straps of the bag tightened and his stomach trembled at the sight of Herobrine. His dark hair was disheveled, despite an obvious effort to smooth it out, and those milky-white eyes seemed to flicker brighter as they met Steve's own. Steve found himself captivated with how the late afternoon sun managed to bathe the god in a perfect golden light.
For a moment, neither of them moved. Herobrine was the first to come to his senses, blinking a couple of times before breaking the silence that had raptured on them both.
"Have you- Are you ready to go?" His words are what managed to make Steve snap back to the situation at hand.
"Yeah," he grinned, admiring how this god got dressed up to go out on a date. With him. The thought made him feel impossibly fuzzy inside! Steve pulled the rucksack over his shoulders.
"Where are we going?" Herobrine asked as Steve stepped closer.
Steve smirked "you'll see." He was excited to show Herobrine the spot he had chosen.
"...How am I supposed to teleport us there if I don't know where we're going?" The confusion on the god's face (clearly shown by how he narrowed his pearl eyes and furrowed his browns) was enough to make the human laugh in amusement.
"We're walking, Herobrine." Steve then walked past Herobrine, headed for the forest that began just round the corner. "C'mon." After a short moment, Herobrine appeared by Steve's side and matched his pace.
"Why would we walk if I can teleport both of us with ease?"
"It's not far," Steve assured as the forest came into view. "About five minutes or so. Besides, if we teleport everywhere I'll end up losing literally all of my stamina."
