Notch blinked drearily at the huge pile of documents which sat on the far left of his desk. There was still so much to do. There was always so much to do. He felt his body tug against him, begging for sleep or even just a break. But Notch didn't need sleep. As a god, lack of sleep wouldn't lead to any severe problems - like it would do for any other creature - but it would definitely lead to tiredness. And boy, Notch was tired.

But he couldn't stop working, there was so much to do. So many creations to care for; it's his job. Notch moved a document from the top of the pile and placed in front of himself before reading it. The words began to blur on the page. Maybe he should check on some of his creations...both to make sure they're okay and to give his eyes some semblance of a break so they'd work again.

The drowsy god rose to his feet before teleporting out of the room.

First, he checked on Elizabeth. She was sleeping in her designated room, as she didn't have a home to go to. She looked peaceful and calm. Good.

After he was satisfied, he began to check on everyone else (Jack, Jacqueline, Nathan, and all of the other humans which worked in his castle).

Then, Notch decided to check on Alex. He teleported to the small house she has brought in the village.

The fiery woman slept on her blue bed, Ace cuddling up beside her. Notch couldn't help for feel a surge of pride at the sight of her, remembering all she was willing to do. She was determined and driven, it seemed as though nothing would be able to stand in her way.

Notch was so proud of all of his creations, they had evolved to be truly marvellous creatures.

Next was Steve and Dusky. Notch silently teleported back to his castle and in the room he gave the pair. He looked to the bed. Steve wasn't there, but Dusky was. Notch looked around quietly, being very careful as to not disturb Dusky. He checked the balcony, no Steve. He checked the en suite bathroom, no Steve. He even checked under the bed, no Steve. The human was no where to be found. Notch felt the rising panic. Where was Steve?

Eventually, their electrifying kiss came to an end. Steve panted for the air his lungs demanded from him. A faint blush lined his slightly flustered face, highlighting the giddy grin he wore. The human continued to grip onto Herobrine's scruffy clothing for dear life, oh so aware of how quickly he could teleport away and be gone again.

Steve could feel his heart flutter and skip, racing within his chest. He felt happy and light - just from the one kiss - whilst his marginally laboured breathing created a steady rhythm. Everything felt both calm and thrilling all at once. It was so wonderful.

"Please stay..." Steve whispered, needing Herobrine to understand how much he needed him. Maybe then he'd stay. "Don't leave me again."

Herobrine was at a loss for words, not just from the exhilarating kiss they had shared. The god felt his face heat up as his heart quivered from within him. Every single one of his breaths had a slight shake to them and his hands were quaking from where they rested, ghosting Steve's sides - almost hovering. He wouldn't dare trust himself to hold this fragile human.

Because he was too dangerous.

Herobrine tried to back away from Steve, gently (very gently) prying the clingy human away. Or rather, trying to. Steve stubbornly latched onto Herobrine, wrapping his arms around the god's middle, refusing to let go.

"...Steve, let go..." Herobrine uttered, but with a hint of desperation. Every second longer Herobrine stayed with Steve, the mortal would be in even more danger. But with Steve gripping onto him as tightly as he was, teleporting away would only result in Steve coming with him.
