By the time I made it to Gerard's house, I barely could move. My feet were burning, running without shoes was torture on my bare feet. I pressed the code to open the gate, in the driveway I noticed Mikey's car was still here. The gate closed behind me, and I made my way to the front door. In my last burst of energy I begin to pound on the door.

"Gerard! Open the door! Please!" I screamed and screamed hoping he wasn't asleep. Tears filled my eyes, my body ached and I just wanted to collapse. My knocks started to get weaker and slower, my energy finally slipping away. I couldn't hold myself up anymore, and the last thing I remember is falling to the ground and the door opening.

-------------------------------------------------------

"I love you." The words just slipped out of my mouth in a low whisper, did she hear me? Maybe she didn't because she just kept walking home. I watched her walk away, letting out a long sigh. Even after all of this, I still have feelings for her but I shouldn't.

When I got inside, everything was quiet and I enjoyed the silence. I made coffee, not really tired and not ready to sleep. There was something on my mind keeping me awake. Well more like there is someone on my mind, Shiloh. The night's events played over in my head, what would have happened if she didn't stop me?

I know what would have happened, I hate myself for it, and I feel guilty. Should I tell Lynz? I'm on thin enough ice, if she finds out I kissed Shy again she would lose it. What sucks is she wouldn't take it out on me, she'd go after Shy even though I'm the one who kissed first. I shook my head of all thoughts, making my way upstairs to check on Bandit.

When I opened the door I saw one of the sweetest things. Mikey and "B" were lying on the floor sleeping, they had built a fort and was inside of it. I quietly closed the door, trying not to wake them. With my mug of coffee in hand I headed for my office. I started to sketch, usually I drew on something electronic but this called for more of a personal touch.

I wanted to create several sketches, which would make a story. My hands just moved freely on their own, not knowing what I was doing exactly. Soon I had several pages sketched out, but I was out of coffee. So I headed into the kitchen to find Mikey and Bandit eating breakfast. "Well good morning, where have you been?"

"Out, hey sweetie." I kissed Bandit's head softly. "Were you good for Uncle Mikey?"

"She was an angel like always."

"I saw the fort you built, very nice. What time is it?"

"Almost noon, what have you been doing?" That's when I noticed they weren't eating breakfast but lunch.

"How long have you guys been up?"

"For awhile but we know not to disturb you when you're in your office. Working on something big if you lost track of time. Last time I remember you doing that we were writing a new song." A new song, a song no one would ever hear now.

I was about to respond when a loud pounding came from the door. "What the Hell?"

"Daddy you said a bad word."

"I did, now never repeat what I say." The pounding continued and suddenly a voice followed.

"Gerard! Open the door! Please!" That sounded like Shiloh, she sounded in trouble and desperate. What was wrong? I looked at Mikey, both of us not sure what was going on. I walked to the front door, opened it and saw nothing at first. My eyes finally moved down to see Shiloh, she was bloodied and bruised badly.

"Mikey! I need help!"

I heard little Bandit's voice, "daddy what's wrong?"

I kneeled down to her and looked her straight in the eyes to let her know I was not joking around. "Bandit I want you go upstairs to your room and I want you to shut the door. Do you understand?" She nodded and ran off upstairs. Mikey came out and saw who was at the door.
