I watched as Zayn continued to pace back and forth in Nathan's living room, muttering curses as he does so. I'm confused. Who was this girl that makes him so angry? How does he know her?
It seems like my questions were soon to be answered as the doorbell sharply rings out. Nathan hesitantly gets up to go answer it. I take this as an opportunity to confront Zayn.
"What the hell is going on?!"
He doesn't answer my question, instead he desperately holds onto me staring into my eyes for a few seconds before bringing me into a tight embrace, "I love you. Please remember that." I nod my head, my mouth parting to speak but in walks in Nathan and an unfamiliar face. She was a stranger to me, but it seemed to me that the two guys both knew her--the tanned guarded one more then the fringed one.
"Hello. Do I know you?" her accent is more northern compared to mines and Zayn's, she's a Geordie. Her blue eyes were sparkling with happiness, and her soft straight blonde hair is styled into two messy plaits. She seems flawless. I notice the silver nose ring in her nose, and I admit it for a few seconds before I force myself to pull away. She's beautiful, and she seems to know it. Dressed in a soft pink baggy dress, while a crème long cardigan hugs her body as well as black pumps on her feet. She clearly has a fashion sense that I wouldn't dream to compete with.
I shake my head in response to her question, lost for words. She smiles slightly before noticing Zayn behind me. I watch her blue eyes sparkle ever more now, and I step away from him so I can take a better view of the situation. I'm not next to Nathan, while the pair are in the middle of the living room. We watch them very carefully.
"It's been a while, Zayn. How have you been?" the Geordie girl speaks with her voice dripping with sweetness. His expression doesn't change, he's still in his angry and serious state.
"Fine." he replies bluntly, and rather rudely. I want to scowl at him for being so rude to this stranger, but I don't want to intrude in this clearly dramatic moment.
"You haven't changed a bit, have you? Still as cold as ever." she comments, the rosiness on her pale cheeks still hold her happiness.
"No."
She sighs before turning her attention to me, "I didn't get your name."
"S-Sophia." I stammer, confused as to why she was suddenly interested in me.
"I'm Caitlin. Caitlin Evans. Zayn probably hasn't even told you about me, has he? Are you his next three-night stand victim?" she doesn't bother to soften her tone when she mentions the words 'three-night stand' which I know that's what Zayn was famous for in the past. Not the causal one night of sex, then leave. No, he did three nights.
"N-no." I respond to both questions. He's never mentioned another girl to me, so I wouldn't know her, and I'm pretty sure I'm not a three-night stand victim, because Zayn and I have made love more then three times... and he still hasn't left me standing so...
"Well. I'm his girlfriend."
What?! I'm pretty sure if I was drinking something right now I would be doing a spit take!
"What the hell are you talking about, Caitlin?!" Zayn snapped furiously at her.
Nathan and I exchanged an awkward/nervous glance at each other bracing ourselves for what was about to come.
"Oh you know what I'm talking about! It might've seemed like all fun and games to you all those nights we spent together, but to me it was magical. I loved you, and you loved me!" Caitlin shot back at him. I could see the equal fury in one another's eyes. I wonder how they know each other.
"How did you guys meet?" Nathan chirped in the question that was lingering in my mind.
They both sigh out, and Caitlin sits down on the sofa without being invited to do so. Her blue eyes meet Zayn's face but he refuses to make eye-contact with her--instead his hazel eyes are locked on mines, like he's trying to send me a mind message. Sadly, I can't make out what he's sending me.
"We met in a club when we were both seventeen. He began to chat me up, and before we knew it we were both in bed together. Best sex of my entire life. I though that would be the last time I'd see him, but there were others. About eight times right?--"
"--seven." Zayn mumbled.
"Same thing. I began to grow feelings for him, and when he indirectly asked me out I was over the moon. Then he changed, and he began to guard himself. One day he moved away from me, and I thought I would never see him again. Until just last year, I believe it was... when I ran into his mate, Nathan--" I take a look at Nathan's face but he doesn't meet my eyes, instead he is just staring at the floor.
"--he shows me Zayn once more, and it seemed like he was trying to forget me. I announced my love for him while we in London, and he never repeated my words only replying you too. But it was enough for me. He got his rewards as I got mines. We were sex buddies."
"We weren't--" Zayn tried to argue but she wouldn't have it, shaking his hand dismissively.
"--we were sex buddies. He wanted pleasure and I gave him just that. Just being with him was my reward, until one day... he did the same runner again. God knows where you went to Zayn, but I really needed you. I'm so glad I ran into Nathan again last month, when I found out he was the new kid in the university we both got to. Now I've found you once more."
It was too much to take in, and I have to meet Zayn's eyes now. He doesn't seem to have dropped his intense stare with me. He doesn't move, he stays frozen just watching my reactions.
"Is--is this true, Zayn?" I ask him in a small tone. I want the truth and nothing but the truth.
"She means nothing to me. No-one compares to you." he speaks calmly, as if she's not in the room. But she is, and I can sense the hurt that is what she now feels at his stinging words. I almost cringe.
"Why didn't you tell me about her?"
"Because I never knew that I would have to talk about her. I just thought she was a part of the past that I wouldn't have to face again."
"Well. Sucks to be you then, doesn't it?!" Caitlin narrows her eyebrows at him, annoyance and anger building up in her curvy body.
"Why are you here, Caitlin? So you can bring up the past again? I don't give a crap. I never felt anything for you! I told you that so many times already!" Zayn yells at her suddenly, clenching his fists.
"Are you sure you don't give a crap about your child, Zayn? I know you're cold and act tough a lot, but I didn't think you were heartless." Caitlin wears a dominant smirk when she notices the shock on all of our faces.
"What the hell are you talking about, Evans?!" Zayn breath is hitching and I know he's getting as scared as I am for the bombshell that is about to explode.
"I'm carrying your child, Zayn Malik."
{OhMyGod? What the-Zayn? A dad? Please please comment!:):) Haha. Vote too and hope you're all okay. I am ill, so ill right now. Haha barely can keep my eyes open-.- Love you all-Tanisha .xox}}
