Ch: 16 || Advice.

"Your family are very nice-I didn't really expect that." I told him one night when I was sitting on the edge of his bed while he was currently revising some maths formulas.

"Yeah well, my mother loves everyone and has taught me to try and find the good in everyone too. I rebelled there slightly-I never really took a liking towards your... kind. That's why I was friends with Nikki, Harry and Liam. They all hated you guys, and so I thought I could fit in then. I've always felt guilty though, because you all hadn't done anything bad specifically to me, so why should I show you hatred?" he shrugged before his ocean blue eyes met mines and he smiled.

I couldn't help but give him a small smile back. While staying here for a few days, I've changed. Obviously I've groomed now that I have been fended for, but some parts of my hard shell has been broken down. I've found a happier side to me that I didn't know existed. Whenever I though of families, I though of mother's as cruel as my own-but Louis's is not like that at all. Joanna was sweet, king, and most importantly loving. Features that I wish my own mother had had.

"I get what you mean. You're pretty decent yourself, Tomlinson. I can see why Sophia was always so fond of you." when I mentioned his best friend and the lover of my mate, his happy expression fades and his eyes falls down to the maths textbook in front of him.

"How is she? I haven't heard from her since... the murder." Louis's tone was soft and delicate and I was praying that he wouldn't start crying, because I just wouldn't know how to comfort him!

"I don't know myself, mate... I haven't heard from any of the lads either. Most probably because my phone battery has been dead for weeks now, so yeah..." I chuckled and he smiled back lightly before it soon dropped.

"I hope she's okay and Zayn is treating her well. I never approved of him before, just like my other friends. We always thought he would use her then leave her, like all the other girls he's ever been with. Just a causal three night stand."

"Same. I thought the exact same thing. When he introduced Max and I to her one night at a party, I thought she would be another three night stand but boy, was I wrong! He is head over heels for him, and that's just so crazy. So pussy whipped! I thought that stuff only happened in the movies." I shook my head at the thought of that couple-that aren't actually a couple-but how would I know if they are now? I haven't seen them, so I wouldn't know. So much can happen in a months time.

"Yeah, that's called love, Tom. You should find someone one day and fall in love. It's the greatest and most powerful emotion in the world." he smiles as he continues to solve the problems in his work book.

"And you would know what it is, do you? Is that what you and Eleanor have?" I asked him curiously because when I looked at them both... I don't see the same sparks that Sophia and Zayn have, or even what Nathan and Nikki had. It's much more different. Confusing different.

It was like Louis was ignoring my question. He continued to answer some revision sums in silent until he was finally done. It was then he met my eye-contact again.

"I thought it was love... but I'm not too sure anymore." he sighed out, running a hand through his soft brown hair, causing it to spike up a bit.

I wasn't good at advice but I felt like now was the time to try and give it a go. It can't end too badly; at least I should give it a shot.

"Wanna talk about it?" I suggested, propping myself up on my elbows, getting myself more comfortable because I didn't know how long this advice giving thing would take.

He looked at me hesitantly, "are you sure you can handle it?"

"Mate. I've dealt with murderers, druggies, sex slaves, the worst kinda crap out there-I think I can deal with a little love situation!" I smirked at him and he laughed quietly before opening his mouth to speak, and let all his emotions pour out.
