[i didn't realise this chapter was so long, but the wait was too long chapter 49 was supposed to be the last chapter as i felt like i just couldn't write anymore and my life had just. idk, it was weird. but i found the courage inside of me to write, and when i was writing this chapter well i just couldn't stop. i would just like to thank every single one of you who have stood by my side and supported me through do i scare you? and through the demons inside, without you all i couldn't have enjoyed this experience as much as i had. i know i'm a bad writer and a let down at times, i just am sad to say that this is the end. for good]

Death. Death is inevitable. The death of everyone on earth is inevitable, whether you like to admit it or not. We're all gonna die. It's basically the cycle of life. God wants that for us, but God would also want to be the one to decide when someone should be born, and someone should die. Not another idiotic human from earth to sin, murdering others. So despite death being inevitable, how can one prepare for the events in Palace Waters?

It was Louisa, who was closest to the hallway doors, who noticed the smell of ethanol and flames first. She was used to that smell, as was Max and Becky. This show that they were next to smell it. Their senses picked it up almost automatically. "something's burning." Louisa states, looking over to her leader who is looking at his most skilful gang member (after Brandon). Becky was looking around the room, scanning the faces of everyone, as if she was looking for that one person to also be in this room as well. "Brandon's gone." Becky announces, and in Max's mind... everything clicks.

Max knows who would start a fire, he knows who would have that amazing skillful mastermind to cause deaths and not get caught. In that sense, Max admired Brandon's ruthlessness, but he knew that he himself should never be compared to Brandon. Brandon was on another scale completely, maybe even worse then Niall! Then again, Brandon doesn't rape...

"I'm extremely so very confused." Louis says loudly after a few minutes of silence, "so what if he's gone?" Louis completely showed his lack of understanding about criminals and crimes, he didn't seem to realise that now back out on the streets, is a mass murderer.

"Brandon, brandon's set the whole building a lite. It's obvious he wanted to make a statement, and kill us all. That's what he wants because he's completely... evil I guess you could say. I thought I could be like him, and my gang could be like him. However most of my members have now rejuvenated and become much better people. I admire that, of course... I just. We're gonna all die now aren't we?" Max sighed to himself, looking across the room to the most powerful person. Zayn.

"Why would we die? There has to be a logical way to escape." Zayn muses, looking down at Niall's body which is very much lifeless, then at his hand where the gun is. Should he still shoot Niall, or let God take his life away when God wants to do so? Sophia walks cautiously over to Zayn, aware that he still might be angry. However, Zayn would never ever hurt Sophia, even if he was drunk. He would never ever lay a pinkie finger on her.

"We could jump?" Sophia suggested as she stood beside Zayn, but not close enough for Zayn's liking. He couldn't feel her comforting warmth beside him. He couldn't feel her body brushing his own. In his eyes they sure were close, but it felt like they were miles apart. Zayn watched his girlfriend's eyes still flicker to Niall, and her forehead showing creases in the frustration as to why she cared so much about that dying young man. The drugs she was given hasn't wore off yet, that's the reason why she was still feeling these emotions.
