*Four weeks later*

It had been a month since Ashton had  heard from Luke or Jack. Jack had called and left numerous messages begging Ashton to come back and apologizing. Ashton never responded and finally stopped hearing from him.

Luke had reached out only once checking to see how Ashton was but he didn't respond to him either. Not only had he lost Jack to Alex but also Luke.

Ashton sat quietly on an empty bench watching a few pigeons pick at the dirt not far from him.

"Ashton?" A voice asked from beside him. Ashton tensed before turning to look at Alex.

"Hey, how are you?" Alex smiled pulling Ashton into a hug.

Ashton tensed even more before pushing Alex back.

"How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages." Alex asked not noticing Ashton's discomfort.

"Fine." Ashton answered simply.

"Jack spent days trying to find you after you left. Where'd you go?" Alex frowned.

"If I wanted that known I would have told everyone before." Ashton snapped.

"Whoa, you okay?" Alex asked.

"Fine." Ashton snapped again.

"Look, I'm sorry about what happened between you and Jack-"

"Oh don't give me that shit." Ashton interrupted rolling his eyes.

"Ashton, I really am sorry. I-"

"Oh is that why you fucked my boyfriend behind my back the entire time we were together?" Ashton demanded.

"He told you?" Alex asked his voice barely above a whisper.

"Hell no, you two just weren't as clever as you thought." Ashton snapped.

"Ashton, I'm so sorry. I never meant for you to find out. It was stupid." Alex apologized.

"No shit." Ashton snapped.

Just then Alex's phone rang.

"It's Luke, I have to answer, hold on." Alex said apologetically.

Ashton felt his heart race at the sound of Luke's name.

"Hey, babe."

"Yeah, I'll be there shortly, I ran into Ashton."

Ashton glared at Alex.

"Sure, hold on."  Alex held his phone out to Ashton.

"He wants to talk to you."

Ashton stared down at the phone for a moment before shaking his head.

"I have no interest." Ashton said before walking away quickly.

-

"He said he has no interest and left." Alex spoke into the receiver.

Luke frowned sadly.

"N-no interest?" Luke repeated.

"Did he seem okay?" Luke asked.

"A bit angry." Alex responded.

Luke felt sad for Ashton he wanted to be there for him but Ashton refused to talk to anyone including Calum.

-

Ashton walked towards the house to see a bunch of cars parked in the driveway.

Liam must be throwing another party. Ashton was in no mood but decided to grab a drink before heading to his room.
