Alis POV
I was currently in the elevator going to the lobby.
When I walked out, I saw Taylor sitting in a chair.
“Hey, you came.” He said embarking me in a hug.
“Yeah, wouldn’t miss it. But a… where are we going?”
“It’s a surprise for now. Lets go.”
He just got a new car, so I was excited to go in it.
“Cover your eyes with this.” He said handing me a bandana.
“Okay.” I put it over my eyes and he turned on the radio.
“Alright, you can take it off now.”
I uncovered my eyes and laughed.
“IHOP? What are we doing her?”
“We came here in Nashville, remember?”
“Oh yeah!”
We went inside and he got us a table.
“I wanted to be one on one with you. Since Matt always comes.”
We both laughed. He must’ve really cared about us if he made plans at 10:00.
“So, talk to me.” I said.
“Me? No, your life is so much more interesting.” He said in defense.
“There’s nothing to tell. I’m an open book, everyone knows everything about me.”
“Not everything.” He said smirking.
I gave in. “okay okay! What do you want to know?”
“Hmm, lets see. Tell me about your relationship with Matt.”
This question didn’t shake me, I knew it was coming. I didn’t want to make it awkward. Taylor was a great guy who deserved the truth; especially from me.
“Not that exciting. He hasn’t asked me to be his girlfriend yet, but he will someday. That’s what he told me.”
“You’re so honest with me. I love that about you.” He smiled.
“I never want to lose that. I will always be honest with you, if youre always honest with mea. Deal?”
“Deal.” He said.
We high fived and kept talking.
Taylors POV
She was so honest. She acted like it was nothing.
Moe importantly, she wasn’t matts girlfriend yet. I still had time to snag her away.
I needed her to find a way for her to leave matt. I needed to make matt look like a bad guy.
I felt bad, but it was worth it.
Alis POV
“You have so many secrets al,” he said to me.
“I know, they’re secrets for a reason.” I said sipping my drink.
“You can trust me with them though.”
“Your trying to trick me into telling you them, aren’t you?”
“Yeahh maybe.”
“I don’t have secrets, just things nobody knows.”
“Tell me something that nobody knows then.”
“Too big of a topic, narrow it down.”
“Okay… what are you doing over Christmas break?”
Uh oh. I was going to be with my family…Sean.
“Oh um, you know, family and stuff.”
“What about for new years?”
Was I spending new years with Sean? I didn’t know. I didn’t want to either. I didn’t want to spend the New Year with him. How can I read a new chapter of my life, if I keep re-reading the old ones? Sean was out of the picture. I needed to start over with someone I loved. Taylor.
“That’s undecided.”
“You should come spend it with me. We have a huge party every year.”
“Do you?”
He nodded and told me about it. It seemed fun, and I could spend my new year with him.
“Seems cool. Ill ask my parents, see if they’ll fly me out.” I smiled.
“You sure matt won’t get mad?”
“He’s not my boyfriend Tay.”
“Yeah I know. But, what if he wants to be your new years kiss or something?”
“Well then I guess ill have to find a new, new years kiss then.”
He blushed and called for the check.
The next day was magcon. The weather was cold here; considering it was the beginning of December and we were in Chicago.
I put on jeans and a maroon, lace, long sleeve top. I straightened my hair and did my makeup.
Within 30 minutes, I was ready.
I was sitting on the couch waiting for everybody to get ready.
@AliMonroe: MAGCON Chicago! Can’t wait to meet yall! Should be a fun day :)
“Ali, come here!” Taylor was calling me from down the hotel hall.
“What is it?” I said leaning on the doorframe.
“Tie my bandana, will you?”
I laughed and agreed.
He took a picture and posted it o twitter.
@taylorcaniff: getting ready with @alimonroe! Can’t wait for magcon Chicago!
“Guys lets go!” Carter called out.
Everyone piled out of their rooms. I met matt in the middle and he put his arm around me. I didn’t react, it was normal. He leaned on me and smelled me.
“What are you doing?” I laughed.
“You smell good. And I want your sent to linger on me.”
“Oh okay, I get it. You want to smell like flowers.”
He blushed and we walked out the door.
When we got to the venue, all the fans were waiting behind the gates. One by one, the boys ran through. Once we were all out, we took pictures and talked to some fans.
Then, the meet and greet started for the VIP. A bunch of them were crying, and most of them asked me about Matt. I had nothing to say though, except that he was a great guy and I enjoyed hi company.
Then the event started. We did weird things, called fans on stage and, the usual.
It was a really good day. Drama free too.
It wouldn’t last long though. I still had to break it to Matt that I loved Taylor.
But I also had things to look forward too, like New Years with Taylor.
One step at a time though.
Hey guys! Hope you like the update! Vote, comment J
