She stood there in the doorway looking at me with a blank expression.

"You came back." I spoke.

She nodded slowly and bit her lip. "I can't hide forever." She shrugged her shoulders.

I paused, not knowing what to say. "Alison-"

"Just please," she said tears about to spill from her eyes. "Please, please tell me that you didn't cheat on me, and that girl was lying," by now she was crying and she was speaking through gritted teeth. "Please tell me that's not true, and that you didn't lie to me. Cause you said you would never do that, right?" She asked, reading my facial expressions.

Looking at her sad, beautiful face, I regretted anything bad that I had done.

I walked towards her and pulled her into a hug. She didn't hug back; but I wasn't surprised.

I pulled her near the couch and sat down. She looked at me from above and joined me.

"I already blew it once by lying so I'm going to be completely honest."

"Oh, feel free." She said sarcastically.

"I'm so sorry. It was some stupid girl in Virginia. I kissed her and we started to talk, reminisce. But I swear to you, she means nothing to me, Ali."

"She probably doesn't. But you lied to me, Matthew. I gave you a chance to confess anything but you didn't. You made me feel guilty and look like the bad guy because I was honest. But in reality, it turned out that you were the real bad guy. And then, you have the right to accuse Taylor of doing something wrong, when really you did something much worse?"

She was right, I felt horrible.

"I know, what I did was wrong."

"Yeah, I'll say! You also lied to me by promising that you would never lie to me, or cheat on me, or make me feel anything less than perfect. Well let me tell you, you broke all of those promises. It's inexcusable, and don't you even DARE about asking for a second chance."

That was it. I had lost her.

"I'm falling in love with you, Alison Monroe."

"Oh my god," She stood up. "You don't know what you're saying."

"I do! I was falling in love with you, and that's why I didn't tell you. I thought I actually had a chance of you loving me back, and I didn't want to risk losing you from a stupid mistake. Please, please, forgive me." I took her hands in mine.

She looked at our hands, and then into my eyes.

She took a deep breath, "I forgive you, Matthew. But I won't take you back."

I knew it was coming, but I wanted to avoid the actual words coming out of her mouth.

"Fair enough. But I can't bear to be away from you. So, do you think we can be friends?"

"We can try, but there are no guarantees that it will work."

"MATT- oh, am I interrupting something here?" Jack G came in and said.

"No, we were just finishing. Ill see you Matt." She said, walking out of the room.

I turned to Jack. "What's so important?"

"Mary's pissed at you. She posted the entire thing on Facebook and now it spread to twitter. The fans know, man." He said, showing me the phone.

I looked at the phone, but I didn't read the tweets.

They were probably so disappointed in me, I let them down.

Wow, I was such a good role model.

What did they think of me? Did their opinions on me change?
