Alis POV
"Look Sean, I miss you. I really do. But I need to move on with my life, and I suggest you do the same. You can't start a new chapter in your life if you keep re-reading the old ones. I will always have a place for you in my heart. But I'm traveling to new states and meeting new people, and a relationship with you just wouldn't work right now. I hope you understand."
I finally got it off my chest. I just needed to be straight forward with him. I wasn't straight forward with Matt and look where that got me. I couldn't lead Sean on...again.
"If you love something set it free, if it was meant to be it'll come back. Well always find each other in the end Alison."
"If it is meant to be, then well go to college together and get married. But I'm not certain of that right now. I appreciate your dedication to this relationship. And I know you still love me. I know you want us to work, but I just don't feel that anymore. I'm sorry."
I hugged him and he hugged me back.
"Friends. Until we get married...maybe." He laughed.
I nodded and laughed along. "I should go. See you soon."
"Yeah. See you."
I walked out of the room, hands shaking.
"Ali," Taylor came up to me. He looked concerned. "What happened?"
"Nothing happened. Don't worry about it."
"No. I'm already worried about it." He said defensively.
"Lets go home? Please. Ill tell you everything when we get home."
"Fine by me." He replied.
We ascended down the staircase and saw my mom and Rick talking to some people.
"Mom, me and Taylor need to leave."
"Sweetie the party just started!" She protested.
"Mom." Ali said more firm and assertive.
"You can leave, be my guest. You don't have a ride."
"We'll walk." She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the house even before I could say her name.
She was walking very fast; or attempting to in her heels.
"Okay, what the hell happened in there?" I said grabbing her arm.
"I told him to move on. That's it. I'm officially done with him. I hurt him, Taylor. I broke another heart."
"That's why you're upset?" He was confused.
"Don't you get it Taylor? I'm such a bitch to people! First I broke Sean's heart, then I led you on. I'm pretty sure that I already broke Matt's heart by spending the holidays with you, and now Sean hates me even more!"
"He doesn't hate you. You can never hate someone you love."
"How do you know that?" I questioned.
"Because you make me mad, you make me frustrated, but I could never hate you. Because I love you."
He just told me he loved me. Taylor Caniff loved me.
"I love you too."
He smiled. "I still wanna hear everything that happened though."
"Yeah yeah." I playfully pushed him to the side as we walked back to my house.
When we got back to the house, we ran upstairs.
