"Do I make you happy?" She looked in his eyes with deep affection. The soft sound of waves hitting the shore echoed in the silence. Lying on the sand and looking at the sparkling stars up there made them feel as if they were in a new world.
He grabbed her hand in his tightly and smiled. Then said, "My love! Happiness doesn't always mean that you have a grin on your face 24/7. It is the ocassional smiles which are formed on my face when I think of our time together. It is the skipping of my heart beats when I see you. Happiness is not a big emotion, it is a collection of small dear moments in life. You know you are happy when your mind is at peace and life seems much easier than it really is.
Happiness is a state of mind and soul. It can't really be seen, it can only be felt.
And yes! You make me happy!"
