"Assigned to me" she said in alarm. "How do you even know me? What do you want with me? If you thinking about trying to marry me, that's a total no" she accused. "You are childish and Petty" he said unaffected by her accusation. He got up and started walking passed her. She turned around to stare as he walked away. "You can't leave me put here without giving me answers" Ataku was furious. "Who said I was leaving you. You the dumb bat if you are staying out here with the bandits" he called over his shoulder. Ataku ran, jumped and put her foot dead in Kamodichi's back sending him barreling forward. This caught him off guard he slid to a stop, his eyes dropped in annoyance, "are you done hitting people because you can't get your way" he turned to her.
"Why do you always got to say something sarcastic or smart" she complained. "Why are you so rude and stubborn" he shot back. "Because my family has been killed" Ataku yelled. "Then why don't you cry like a normal girl then wasting energy beating me up" he retorted. "I won't cry in front of you, I am not like normal girls, thank you very much" she told him. "Congratulations" he rolled his eyes. He walked away from her. The wind bristled the trees lightly, the sun fell overhead. If this knight didn't seem to care what she did or say then she didn't care about him. She ran in the opposite direction of Kamodichi. As she was running through the forest she realized she didn't know what she was supposed to do. Where am I supposed to go? It didn't matter and Kamodichi wasn't with her.
"So your way of living now is to head straight into danger" she heard Kamodichi's voice. She looked up and found him in a tree. She nearly jumped out of her skin. "How in the hell" all she could do was stare. "Ataku....let's go" he said jumping from the tree and standing in her path. "How do you know me? What do you mean assigned to me? Who signed you?" questions poured from her but he just narrowed his eyes and stayed quiet. She began to carefully walk backwards. "How do you know my name" she said with fear.
"Follow me and I will answer all you questions to the best of my ability" he stated. "Fine" she said. He smiled a tedious smile. "The elder of your village told me the day of your arrival when I had visited there. He had very troublesome dreams regarding you. Taking the information to the bright knights organization I was then assigned to you. Why was I assigned to you....to protect you" he answered. "Why only me?" She asked sadly. "Classified, but I would assume that the heavens knew you would be in danger" he said.
Ataku pondered their predicament and thought about why she was the only one to be saved. "That still does not explain why you wouldn't help save the village" she pressed. Kamodichi sighed, "I was outnumbered, the guy has been tearing down villages ever since I was young so why would I risk my life when my purpose is to risk my life for you" Kamodichi stated. "How much did the elder pay you" she folded her arms. "Not a dime" he answered. "What! You are lying" she accused. "Why would I need to lie about an old man paying me. What's the point" he twitched in anger.
"To make yourself seem like a righteous person" she explained. "I am answering your question, I am not serenading you" he told her. "Then why would you volunteer to help me" she asked confused. "Personal reasons" he said them so seriously that all Ataku could do was be silent. "Wait a minute, are you trying to say I am worth money!" She exclaimed. "You are getting on my nerves. If you were worth so much money why don't you go to the bandits and see what they think" he growled. Ataku was silent again. "Then where are you taking me" she said softly. "You'll see" he said.
