He wanted to talk with her. Ataku didn't know what to say to him. Would he be angry because she came to help? Would he complain at her for what she didn't do? She didn't want to talk with him. She didn't like being injured or to be seen as if she was weak. It didn't even hurt anymore, she was annoyed. They had a goal to go after as well. She also needed to practice her battle moves as much as possible. What ever Kamodichi had to say it had better not be negative.
"What do you need to talk about" Ataku asked her voice low. "Today we had a hectic afternoon" he began. "I did not mean to leave you alone by yourself out there. You scared me when the kidnapper shot at you and your quietness just made me guilty. If you want to complain at me, go ahead, I understand but your silence....it irritates me in many ways. Like there is something wrong and I can't pin it down. So if I pissed you off I apologize" Kamodichi said. There is a problem Kamodichi and it's not you, she thought. She had been thinking about the dream, when she had been shot she was thinking about it. Tragedy was happening in front of her face and she was hurt by it. She didn't have the courage to tell Kamodichi, fear weighed her down. Maybe he would throw her out and abandon her. She wanted to go after Matteo and help the world. It felt like her reason. She had to come up with a plan.
She knew she would be no help to him. She would only weigh him down and cause him trouble. She looked at Kamodichi, "I hate the way you left me like that. I have no where else to go and you tell me to get off the horse and leave me alone. I didn't know what to do all I could think about was to follow you. I had two subs in my hands and I didn't even know where I was. Anything could have happened" she lectured him. But this lecture was different from all of their other arguments. Kamodichi could tell it was forced and she wasn't yelling at him. It was like she was a mother scolding her child but in a very nice way. Was Ataku changing that quickly? It wasn't too long ago she was badmouthing him on everything he did. He then remembered what Tanaka said in the organization "You don't look right with your hair up. You look like somebody trying to be somebody you aren't".
Maybe this was how Ataku always was, she was just hiding it because of the life she used to. Now in a new environment she acted differently than before, she was more calm and peaceful even in a state of panic. "Come here let me see your wound" Kamodichi told her. "Why, I'm fine" she told him in a sassy tone. Kamodichi was about to speak but she made a big sigh and walked over to him. He unwrapped her bandages and peeled off the leaves. He was very surprised, her wound was gone. In less then 24 hours Ataku's wound was healed. Ataku stared at her arm, there wasn't a scratch, not even a scar to represent the wound she had took today. Kamodichi stared in shock, he believed Annura's healing worked miracles.
"I think you should still rest after all, you had another traumatic day" Kamodichi told her gently. He hugged her and Ataku was surprised by his embrace. They pulled apart, "you know you can have that room. Its next to mine so you'll be safe" Kamodichi said. Kamodichi headed outside to talk with Annura to thank her. Annura was smoking the meat of the wolf outside with Erin gathering fire wood. "Hey Annura" he called out to her. "Oh M.r Juno, I am smoking the meat so it will last awhile. I had Erin go hunting for herbs and food" Annura told him. "That's good. I just want to thank you for healing Ataku. You are a very talented healer, her arm is completely like new" he boasted. Annura raised an eyebrow at Kamodichi in confusion.
Kamodichi was wondering why she was looking at him like that.
"Is there a problem Annura" he asked. "That ointment was supposed to stay on her arm for a few days and reapplied everyday and you say her arm is completely healed" Annura said in confusion. Kamodichi looked bewildered, "so what you are saying is, its not supposed to be healed yet". "I have never known for blood wounds to heal without a scar or a scab. She lost a lot of blood from that one wound for it not to be a scar so its surprising to me she has healed so fast. Faster than a normal human heals" Annura told him. Kamodichi was speechless, so how did Ataku heal so fast?
