Matteo had raised his sword to Kamodichi. Kamodichi was paralyzed with fear. This would be the end. The beam rushed at him with intense speed and the bandits scurried away from him. Kinello and the rest of the soldiers saw. "Kamodichi!" Kishimi cried. Before it could reach Kamodichi, Ataku stopped it midway. She had dissipated it like before. Matteo was wide eyed, the girl had done it again. She ran at him he hopped off his horse and raced at her. Their swords clashed in fury. He tried to push her off but she spun and swung and tried to attack him from the right. But he dodged and sent her reeling backward on her heels.
She regained her footwork. She ran and attacked from above. He dodged and went to the left. Everyone watched the battle from the side lines. Matteo swung the wind behind his blade sent Ataku sliding across the floor. She got up, her sword by her side. "Did you think you could win. Did you think you could stop me?" Matteo chuckled. The sword.... "I will keep fighting. I won't stop fighting until you are dead" she said through gritted teeth. "Then you can perish" he yelled at the top of his lungs. He swung his sword up releasing the beam of darkness. Ataku's eyes changed to silver with out pupils. She took a direct hit from the blast but she walked forward. She walked forward, the blue fire burning. She couldn't let everything she now knew die.
She was severely injured blood came down her arms but she was still standing. Matteo stared in utter shock. "No way" Kamodichi mouthed. She took a straight hit of a powerful blast that could kill thousands of humans with one swing. Matteo stared completely paralyzed. She grabbed the sword right out of his hand. She took her sword and knocked him in his face with the handle with all the strength she had. He fell and she fell to her knees. She coughed blood on the floor.
"Ataku" Kamodichi ran to her. Her body was fading. "Ataku" he cried out. "the bad aura has left the sword" she coughed. She smiled, "Ataku, its going to be ok. We'll get you help" Kamodichi told her. He was panicking, he didn't know whether to be happy or cry. "I....can't. Kamo....dichi....thank you for your kindness. Live.....for me" Ataku collapsed. "Ataku wait, Ataku" Kamodichi tried to wake her up. She had stopped breathing, he silver eyes stayed without pupil's. "Ataku" he lost her. Kamodichi hadn't realized it but he was crying. Here lay the woman who had been alone in this world not knowing who she was but died saving all of them. Everyone was speechless no one could say a word of what happened.
"Kami" Kishimi walked over to Kamodichi. Kinello had pushed pass people to get to his brother and sister. "Is she dead" he asked. "Yes" Kamodichi nearly choked, he grabbed her dead body and held it. She was gone, Ataku known as Ataku Hizune was dead. He then took her sword and Matteo's sword. He took his own sword and crushed Matteo's sword into pieces. The aura must have been the reason it lasted so long. The weapon was old but he decided to keep her weapon.
"I'm sorry Kami, I know she must have been special to you" Kishimi sad sadly. "I don't even know why he cares. She wasn't his wife, she was just some girl he found in peasantville" Kinello said harshly. "Shut up!" Kamodichi yelled. "She wasn't just some girl. For mother's sake she saved your life, she saved our lives. I fought Matteo I nearly died but guess who was there, she was. Not you, not the kingdom soldiers not even the damn peasants!" He yelled. "So what ever smart mouthed, dumb, idiotic, response you have to say, you can shove it up your ass" Kamodichi told him.
Kinello's mouth dropped but Kamodichi turned his back on him. "Kishimi, you have two choices, you can stay here or you can come with me. I don't care what you choose" he told her calmly. He picked up Ataku's body, a passerby gave him cloak. He covered Ataku with it, "I will come with you big brother" Kishimi said shyly. "Lets go" he said unemotionally.
