Kamodichi hurried the horse as fast as he could after the stranger. There was nothing but empty ground in this area. No trees, no grass and not a single hint of wildlife. The ground was dark and gray. The horse the kidnapper rode was a white mare. Its hair followed the direction of the wind. The stranger showed no action of knowing Kamodichi was following him. The boy being dragged was trying to be free of the kidnappers ropes. He was dirty from being dragged against the gray ground for so long. Kamodichi drew his sword and released his beam to cut the boy's ropes. The white mare whinnied in fear and lifted its front legs up to knock his owner down. The kidnapper got control of his horse again. He wore a hat that covered his face. The boy was freeing himself from the rest of the holds.

"You came for the boy" the deep voice of the kidnapper said. "You have no right to be taking children from their families" Kamodichi said. "He's the one who wandered. Shouldn't people who wander away from their parents get what they deserve" the kidnapper asked. "Its not like that" Kamodichi said. "I'm asking a simple question, Knight" the kidnapper said. "Under certain circumstances" Kamodichi said. "So you agree" the kidnapper concluded. The kidnapper drew a pistol and pointed it at the boy. Kamodichi gasped in shock as the kidnapper loaded the weapon. "So you agree that this boy can die at my hand" the kidnapper asked. Kamodichi was losing his patience and he had to do something and fast.

Ataku stood alone in the market place holding two subs. She didn't know what to do. She took a bite out of one of the subs. She was scared and worried but she wasn't going to be doing anything on an empty stomach. She wanted to go after him, after all he just lost a battle with Matteo, he could get hurt again. She hasn't realized she was stress eating until her sub was gone. She sighed, she had to go after him. She ran pass the stands and a big empty area came into view. She saw a woman on her knees, dressed like a gypsy with smooth brown skin and long black hair.
She was crying, Ataku already assumed that this woman was the one Kamodichi was helping.

"Hey ma'am" Ataku said. The crying lady turned to her. "Do you know where a man, wearing armor and having long black hair that goes down his back, went?" Ataku asked. "You must be his girlfriend" the woman assumed. "No, no, no way" Ataku said in embarrassment. "I am just his apprentice" Ataku pouted. "oh, he went that way, he is such a brave man going to save my son" the woman said. "Oh" Ataku said. "Hey ma'am" she said again. "Yes" the woman replied. "Can you hold this" Ataku asked giving the woman the sandwich. "Uh yes" the woman was confused. "Thanks" Ataku said. She ran across the gray dirt. She could just see two horses not to far away. I am going to help too, Ataku thought.

Kamodichi lay in the dump of making a decision on the boy's life. He knew the boy was scared to death and the kidnapper could kill him at any given moment. Kamodichi heard footsteps behind him. Out of surprise the kidnapper raised his gun and shot pass Kamodichi but at Ataku. The bullet grazed her arm and he heard a whimper of pain from her. He turned to look at her standing not too far from his horse. She was holding her shoulder and she pulled her hand away to find it covered in blood. Kamodichi's blood began to rise as Ataku stood bleeding from her wound. Out of no where Kamodichi jumped off his horse and into the air. He swung and knocked the gun out the kidnappers hand and it slid all the way to the boy. The boy picked up the gun and with shaking hands let off a shot...
