Kamodichi was surrounded by the bandit posse. Ataku was on the ground, she looked dead from his view. He had to protect her, it was his job. "Hey look master its a knight" a minion told the leader. The leader was a middle aged man. He was balding but his hair became a short pony tail at the back of his head. He had thick eyebrows, a mustache and a beard. The beard was short. He wore a kimono with an armored dragon scaled chest plate. He unsheathed his sword, it was a thick black sword with a cross on its handle. It glowed a purple aura. The leader smirked, his desire was to destroy Kamodichi. Kamodichi drew his sword.
"Foolish boy, you think you can defeat me" the leader laughed. "My name is Matteo and anyone who fights me perishes" The leader swung the sword and a bright light fueled by anger came flying at him. Kamodichi put himself in his battle stance and swung his sword hoping the beam would alter it. The beam could only do so much and Kamodichi was blasted from off his feet. He yelled in terror as he was thrown to ground. With quickness Matteo came running at him at great speed. He was about to stab Kamodichi while he was down but Kamodichi kicked him in the torso before he could stab his sword into Kamodichi's body. Matteo was sent flying backwards and hitting the ground with a giant thud. Kamodichi struggled to sit up but Matteo was already on his feet coming at him again. What's with this guy? An ordinary human would have been knocked down already, Kamodichi thought.
Kamodichi tried to block Matteo's next attack with his sword. But Matteo's next blow had the force of an elephants stampede as it sent Kamodichi flying off the ground. His whole body smashed against a tree and he fell forward. He gritted his teeth, "Kamodichi!" He heard Ataku's voice. His eyesight was getting blurry and he could barely hold himself up. He was faced with the enemy who killed his family and burned his village down. He was faced with the brutal murderer but he failed to avenge their deaths. Now he was going to die by the hands of him. The elder died for nothing and he would never find out the truth.
Ataku had finally awoken to see Kamodichi get flown against a tree. She turned to the man who had done it, she felt his evil aura fly off him. She scrambled to her feet and stood in front of Kamodichi's battered body. Matteo raised an eyebrow at the girl. "Aren't you the girl who was at that village I destroyed" he said. "I never knew you were a knight but now I get to destroy both of you" Matteo sneered. "Say goodbye wench" he laughed and swung his sword with the beam that wounded Kamodichi. The blast came at top speed, Ataku drew her sword and pointed at the blast. Wind surrounded her, a spark appeared at the tip of her sword and the blast dissipated. She ran and attacked Matteo jumping up and bringing her blade down on his shoulder. She drew his blood wounding his arm completely. He cried out in pain, holding his arm to protect it from further harm. "Lets go!" He called to his posse. "Just you wait little girl, you'll pay for this" Matteo said and hopped on his horse and escaped with his posse. Ataku didn't care she ran to Kamodichi.
"Please be ok"Ataku's voice quivered with sadness and worry. "Ataku....." He responded.
"Yes" Ataku didn't want him to be in pain. She hugged him, "please don't die on me, I don't want people to die on me any more" she cried. Blue light surrounded Kamodichi but Ataku didn't notice. Kamodichi wrapped his arms around Ataku. "It's ok" he said. He didn't know how but his pain was gone. "Come on stop crying. I am here" Kamodichi said softly. She moved away from him and rubbed her eyes. 'You will doom this world to suffer' she heard the voice say.
"Kamodichi" she said. "Yes" he said. "I can't follow you anymore. All I am going to do is cause you pain. I don't want to see you hurt and I don't want to be the cause of your pain. Thank you for trying to help me, find my memory that is, but I can't watch you suffer. So I will go and not be a burden for you" Ataku said sadly and stepped away to leave him. He grabbed her hand before she could go. "Don't say that" Kamodichi said. "I will only cause you harm" she said right away.
"Its your time to shut up now!" He told her. Her eyes widened, "I did this to me, I am the one who came looking for you. I did this on my own, I dragged you away from your family who is now dead and now you have no one else to turn to. I did that so there is no way I am letting you take the blame for it. So what ever happens its my responsibility not yours" he told her. "I'm sorry ok" he said and breathed. Ataku stared at Kamodichi, I hope I can help you just like you helped me, she thought.
