Marie's POV
It was hard keeping the secret dinner plan from Leo. We tell each other everything, and we're practically inseparable.
"Do you have any plans this weekend?" Leo asked pulling me closer.
It was Friday, and tonight would be the big dinner.
"I'll be busy tonight and Sunday with church, but besides that I'm free." I smiled.
"Oh, that's cool. What are you doing tonight?" Leo asked curiously.
Oh shoot.
"I'm going to the mall with Cara."
"Oh ok. I'll be busy tonight too but I'll see you tomorrow." Leo kissed me on the head and left for his next class.
I really hope he doesn't get upset when he sees me there.

Later that evening, Jade came over and we got ready for the big evening ahead of us.
I curled my hair as Jade applied makeup.
"So why did you want me to come anyway? He is your boyfriend, right?" Jade asked.
"Yeah, but I panicked when she asked me. I don't think that he wants me to meet his family yet." I frowned as I fixed my hair.
"Why? Are they not singers? Oh gasp." Jade smiled.
I rolled my eyes. Maybe he didn't want me to meet them because they don't know we're dating.
Wait, did Caroline tell them I'm coming?
Is this a surprise for all of them too?
I suddenly got really nervous and my foundation wasn't setting because of sweat.
That's when I knew I needed to calm down.
Jade wasn't paying attention, and I checked the time. It was getting late, so we needed to leave.
My mom drove us to Martini's and we got there early so that I would be there before Leo.
I found Caroline and the rest of the Ravin family in the back of the restaurant.
"Hey, Caroline. Thank you for inviting me to dinner. This is Jade, one of my friends from school. She's here to calm my nerves." I gave Caroline an anxious smile.
"No worries. My family is super chill. Come, I'll introduce you." Caroline took my hand and led us over to her parents and siblings.
"This is my mother and father."
I shook hands with them both.
Caroline's mother wasn't old, but you could see the lines on her face after four children. She has blonde hair with brilliant platinum throughout. Her eyes were grey blue and have clearly seen a lifetime of happiness because how bright they were.
Caroline's dad was taller and had brown hair with some grey. He looked a lot like Leo which made me feel more comfortable.
"Hi, are you one of Caroline's friends?" Mrs Ravin asked me.
"Well, kind of. I'm Leo's... girlfriend. I'm also good friends with Caroline. It's lovely to meet you." I shook Mr and Mrs Ravin's hands.
"Baby boy has a girlfriend? He never told us about you! Oh, come sit next to me! Call me Lisa. I have so much to ask you." Mrs Ravin half shouted. Mrs Ravin was beaming and gave me a huge hug when I came over to her.
Mr. Ravin patted the seat in between him and Mrs. Ravin, and I sat down. The questions started flowing in and the siblings all came over to see what the fuss was about.
Leo has two sisters and one brother. They all came over and found out from the chaos that I'm Leo's girlfriend.
I met Rachel and Anthony, Leo's other siblings besides Caroline. They were just as interested in me as their mother.
"How long have you been dating?"
"Have you kissed yet?"
"Why didn't he tell us?"
"What are your grades like in school?"
"How many kids do you want to have?"
I answered them to the best of my ability.
The room suddenly fell silent. I looked around for a clue as to why, and I saw him. Leo was standing in front of our table with his mouth ajar.
"Marie?" He asked confused.
Then the room got loud again, Caroline grabbed him a chair and the questions for him came.
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"How did you get a girl like this?"
"Does Marie have a sister?"
"When is the ring coming?"
He was just staring at me. I didn't know what to do or say, so I just looked back at him.
The meal just went on like that. Everyone just ordered pizza because they didn't want to waste time eating when we could be talking. Personally I just wanted pizza so I could finish and leave.
Leo was answering questions for him, and I answered questions about me.
By the end of the meal, I was exhausted and I looked over to Jade to see if she was ready to go.
She was laughing with Caroline about embarrassing things Leo has done.
I got up quickly and practically ran over to Jade.
"Jade, are you ready to go?" I whispered in her ear.
She looked longingly at Caroline and whispered back,"But we're making fun of your boyfriend. It's so much fun!"
"Leo looks really uncomfortable so I think it's best if I leave." I looked over at him.
"Well, that's something else we can make fun of him for!" Jade laughed.
I grabbed her wrist and said quick goodbyes.
I just hope he doesn't kill me on Monday.
