Arthur handed us each a letter except Ginny. I wonder why she didn't get one? I look down at the letter I was given. It was addressed to Emily Anne East. From Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. "What's Hogwarts?" I ask. Everyone looked happy. "It's a school for young wizards and witches, like you! You're going to Hogwarts!" Molly said.
"So..so, I'm going to a magic school?" I asked excitedly. "Yes! I knew it all along too, that you were at witch. I'm so happy for you Emily!" Molly said enthusiastically.
A wizard school. Me? This is insane, I mean, one moment I'm at my house, running away and ending up on the streets of London and now here, going to a magic school!? Called Hogwarts? This has to be a dream...but it all makes sense, all that stuff at home.
"So Emily's going to Hogwarts?" asked Fred happily. "Yes, she is." said Arthur chuckling. Everyone seemed so happy, so I guess this school is really great!
"So why doesn't Ginny get a letter? Is she not a witch?" I ask curiously. "oh, she'll go next year, she's not old enough." explained Ron. "Oh, that makes sense." I said.
I look over and Percy is still reading his letter, it's a bit longer than everyone else's. "Why's your's longer?" I asked him curiously. "It's explaining that I'm headboy and prefect." he said proudly, showing everyone his badge. "Oh, honey I'm so proud of you!" Molly said.
"Now that everyone has their letter, we'll need to go shopping tomorrow for school supplies." said Mrs. Weasley. "But...Molly...I don't have any money." I said. "Don't worry dear, I'll get it for you." Molly said. "But you've already given me so much, a place to stay, a school to go to, the best birthday ever, I can't have you do that. You've done so much for me." I said gratefully.
She put her hand on my shoulder. "It's okay dear, we want to do this." Molly said. Arthur comes up and puts his hand on my other shoulder, "Once Molly says she'll do something, there's no getting her to back out!" He chuckled.
"Ginny, why don't you run upstairs and take a shower before dinner." Molly said. "Okay!" Ginny said, now running upstairs. Mrs. Weasley went into the kitchen to start dinner. Ron went up to his room to do whatever Ron does, and Percy went up to probably go study and admire his prefect badge.

"Thank you so much for dinner, it was delicious!" I said. Everyone mhm-ed in agreement. "Hey Emily, can you go upstairs and shower please, don't be too long, Ron has to go after you." Molly said. "Yup, or course." I say, going up stairs.
"Hey, Emily!" Molly said from down stairs. I ran back down; "Yeah?". "Don't forget to keep the door unlocked in case someone needs in." she said. "I know, you've told me before." I said laughing. I went back upstairs.
I went into me and Ginny's room and grabbed some short pj shorts and an oversized black t-shirt. I went into the bathroom and shut the door, not locking it, remembering Molly's words. I turned the shower on super hot and got in.
Today's been a good birthday, I got so many sweet presents. I'm so grateful I get to be here; and I get to go to Hogwarts when September comes! I wonder what my parents are thinking... I mean, they didn't really care much about me anyways. I saw the adoption papers they were hiding, so they're probably glad I'm gone.
I heard a knock at the door. "Yeah?" I yelled. "It's Fred, I'm coming in!" he said. "Okay!" I said. I heard the door click open.
