In All Seriousness ~ A Fred Weasley FanFic

Chapter 4

Ginny and I run downstairs to see Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Fred and George, Percy, and Ron. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they all said in unison. A big smile ran across my face. "T-thank you guys!" I said surprised. 

"C'mon, let's go eat cake!" Fred said. "We have to eat breakfast first, then we can have cake." Mrs. Weasley said. "What do you want for breakfast Emily?" she asked me. "Well, I like chocolate chip waffles!" I said excited. "You sound pretty enthusiastic about waffles." Percy said. "Well, what can I say? I love food!" I said laughing. "Oh boy, you sound like Ron" Mr. Weasley said. We all laughed. 

Mrs. Weasley cast a few spells and breakfast began to make itself. I've been living here for a little while now and I'm starting to get used to the magic. I'm learning a lot, like how wizards and witches have their own government called The Ministry of Magic. Magic can also be used for basically everything, and people who don't possess magic, like my parents, are called Muggles.

"Here kids, come sit down, breakfast is ready!" Mrs. Weasley called. I sat down at the outside edge of the table, sitting next to Fred. Next to Fred on the other side was George. Across from Fred is Percy. Next to Percy was Ron. On the other side of Percy was Ginny. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley sat at the two heads of the table. 

We were all eating our waffles at a reasonably pace, except me and Ron. "This is really good, thanks!" I said with a mouthful of food. "Yes mum, thank you for breakfast." Percy said. "No problem!" Mrs. Weasley said. 

I felt a pair of eyes on me. I look over and see Fred staring at me. I raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Yes?" I said. "Oh, um, you have some chocolate... right there." he said pointing at my cheek. He chuckled. I wiped my cheek with the back of my hand. "Did I get it?" I asked. "Yup!" he said. We laughed. 

After eating breakfast, we all went into the living room and sat down. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley said for us all to wait in the living room while they went into the kitchen. 

~ P.O.V.: Fred Weasley ~

Mum and dad went into the kitchen to go get Emily's cake. I'm so happy she's here. I look over and see her engaged in conversation with Ginny. Ginny looks over at me. She smirks and looks back over to Emily. Mum and dad walk back in with her cake covered with a couple of lit candles. We all start to sing Happy Birthday. I look over and see her smiling. "Make a wish!" Ron said. Emily squeezed her eyes shut and made a wish. 

~ P.O.V.: Emily East ~

"Make a wish!" Ron said. I squeezed my eyes shut. "I wish I get to stay here forever" I said in my head. I blew out the candles and opened my eyes. Everyone clapped and I smiled. 

"What did you wish for?" Ginny asked. "I can't tell you because then it won't come true, silly!" I said. Everyone laughed. Mr. Weasley cut the cake and Mrs. Weasley handed it out to everyone. It was red velvet, my favourite. 

"Thank you so much" I said, giving Mr. and Mrs. Weasley a hug. "Don't thank us yet." Mr. Weasley said chuckling. Everyone pulls out a gift. "Y-you guys didn't have to..." I said. "But we wanted to!" said George.

Ginny hands me a small box. I open it. There's a braclet with a little opalite on it. "Oh Ginny, it's so pretty! Thank you so much!" I said, giving her a hug. I put the bracelet on.

 Percy gave me wrapped present. I unwrap it and inside is a book titled: Quidditch Through the Ages. "Thanks! But um, what's Quidditch?" I ask. "YOU DON'T KNOW QUIDDITCH!?!?" Fred, George, and Ron said together. "She was raised by Muggles, remember?" said Ginny sarcastically. We laughed. 

"Quidditch is a magic sport. We ride brooms and well, it's all in the book." Percy said chuckling. "Thanks, I'll definitely read it!" I said. 

Ron hands me a blue and gold box that's pointed at the top. It says: Chocolate Frog. "What's a Chocolate Frog?" I ask. 'It's a frog, but it's chocolate. When you open the box, the frog will want to jump out so you'd better catch it quick enough so you can eat it. It also comes with a card with a famous witch or wizard on it." Ron explained. "Thanks Ron!" I said. 

"This is from both me and Fred." George said handing me a small box. I open it up and inside are some little pill looking things. Half of it is purple and the other half is orange. "What is it?" I asked. 

George whispered, "They're double-ended, colour-coded chews. If you eat the orange half of the Puking Pastilles, you throw up. Moment you've been rushed out of the lesson for the hospital wing, you swallow the purple half -"; "- which restores you to full fitness, enabling you to pursue the leisure activity of your own choice during an hour that would otherwise have been devoted to unprofitable boredom." Fred finished. "Don't tell mum." George whispered. I laughed. "Thanks!" I said. 

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley handed me a box. I took off the lid and inside was a teddy bear. "Awe, you guys it's so cute! Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Weasley!" I said giving it a hug. "You're welcome, and you can call us Molly and Arthur by the way." Molly said. I smiled. 

~ Time Skip: 1:00 ~

I'm lying on my bed reading the book Percy gave me. It's actually pretty good, I think I want to play Quidditch, I mean, I'm really good a football and I don't know, maybe I'll be good at Quidditch too!

Ginny was over at a friend's house and Percy went to the library or something to study. I think Ron's out with a friend, probably getting candy or something. I heard a knock at my door. "Yes?" I answered. Molly came in. "Hey, Arthur and I have to go out for a bit to do some shopping. If you need anything, ask Fred and George, I've already told them." she said. "Okie." I said.
