I wake up to the sound of trunks opening, talking, and running. I open my eyes and see that the noises were caused by the girls getting ready for their day off. I honestly would've preferred to sleep later but, I guess now is fine, even it it is 7 A.M. Just kidding, it's not fine, I need my sleep. But it's too late now, I won't be able to fall asleep again.

I move Gulliver off of my stomach and move him onto my pillow, and get out of my bed. Since today is an off day for everyone, we didn't have to wear our uniforms. I open my trunk and take out a pair of black leggings and a blue and pink pastel jumper and put them on. Then I found my low-top grey converse and put those on too.

I go into the bathroom to go brush my hair and teeth. I pick up my toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it. "Good morning Hermione!" I said, when I saw her walk into the bathroom. "Oh, good morning Emily!" she said, us both now brushing our teeth.

We finish that and both begin to brush our hair. I guess we do things in the same order. I put my wavy hair into a loose bun on the top of my head. When Hermione finishes, leaving her hair down, we run downstairs to enjoy our free day.

When we get down, we see that Ron, Harry, Neville, and the twins were already up. "Goodmorning Emily!" Fred said, seeming happy to see me, but that didn't seem like anything new honestly. "Good morning Fred" I said smiling. "Did you guys get your schedules?" George asked. "Yes." said Hermione, pulling her's out and examining it.

A first year, the one whose bed is next to mine, Samantha, comes up to us. Hermione and I had made friends with her. "Hey, you two wanna come down to breakfast?" she asked us. "Yeah, sure!" Hermione said, putting away her schedule. "Nah, I think I'll stay here, you two go on ahead." I say. They nod and leave.

The twins and I move over to where Harry and Ron were, Neville had gone to breakfast. I sat down on the couch next to Ron, Harry sitting next to him on the other side. I put my back up against the corner, and my feet up on the couch, making myself comfy. My legs go across Ron, but not even close reaching Harry. "Jeez, personal space?" Ron said. "I'm sorry, what?" I ask, even though I'd heard him. "Wha-" he sighs, "Never mind." he finishes, shaking his head. Harry and the twins laugh, even Ron chuckles. I close my eyes and smile proudly.

Fred and George are called over by one of their friends. They exchange a few words and their friend and George walk away and Fred comes back here. "Who was that?" I ask. "Oh, that was Lee Jordan, one of our friends. George just went to breakfast with him." he explains. "We should probably go too." Harry said. "Yeah, I'm pretty hungry." I say. "Me too." Ron says, agreeing with me. "After last night, how could you eat?" Fred asks. "Uhhh, I dunno." I say bluntly. "C'mon, let's go." Ron says.

We get up and make our way to the Great Hall. We find a seat with George and Lee, who were conveniently sitting near Hermione and Samantha.

Fred sits next to George, and I plop myself down next to Fred. We all talk a while, the twins warning us about Snape, and some of the other teachers. We talked about our schedules and what classes we have.

The conversation shifted to magic and skills. "Hey you guys, Hermione's really good at magic." I say. She looked a little embarrassed. "Yeah! She fixed my glasses on the train!" Harry said. "Ooh really? Let's see it then!" said Samantha.

Hermione pulls out her wand. "Well, I do know this one spell." she said. "I learnt it from a text book last night." she explains. "Woah, woah, wait. You were reading textbooks last night?!" Ron exclaims. "Yes, and what's wrong with that?" she asks. "Well, um, it's school stuff...on an off day." I say bluntly. "Anyways," she said clearing her throat, gaining, my, and our friend's attention.

She points her wand at a spoon, "Wingardium Leviosa!" she said, swishing and flicking her wand, making the spoon levitate. "Bloody hell..." Ron says, clearly amazed. The twins give a smug clap. "Wicked...teach me!" I say. "Okay, take out your wand." Hermione says. I look around and pat my sides several times. "Umm... let me go get it." I say awkwardly. The twins, Harry, and Ron laugh at my lack of preparedness.

I run up to the Gryffindor common room. There was only one person in there, I guess they weren't hungry for breakfast. It was that third year boy, he was writing a letter.
