"I'm gonna change the way things are for people like us, mom, you watch."

"Hello, Hello? Matthew?"
My smile had faded. This wasn't Alena, who was this?
"Hello?" I croaked, my voice raspy because I was about to cry. I actually thought I had found a way to speak to her. "Who's this?"
"It's Alena's parent, Estela. Why are you calling this phone?" Estela questioned me, her voice sounded like a dying cat. I truly hated this bitch.
"I'm looking for Alena, is she there?" I asked Estela, rolling my eyes. Why in the hell does Estela have her phone?
"Alena? We kicked her out a few days ago, she no longer lives here. And we also changed her number, but I guess you still had it on speed dial or whatever, straight people will do anything to spread their sins I guess," Estela spoke rudely, I've never heard anything so vile.
"What do you mean you kicked her out? Where is she staying now?!" I asked abruptly, doing my best to not curse her out. I honestly do not see the big deal: It was a fucking kiss!
"Hell should I know. I got rid of that girl as soon as you and her shared your gross display of affection in the middle of the street. I will not allow a parasite to come back into my house and pollute my sinless world." Estela spoke. Her voice was so genuine: She actually meant the words she was saying. How could someone be so... Cruel? It was pure evil.
"Rot in hell, Estela," I mumbled, hanging up the phone. I silently face-palmed, realizing she was the only contact I had to find out where Alena was. Son of a bitch, how am I gonna do it?
I pondered my thoughts for a while, my eyes opening wide. My room. My house. My old house. My window.
That's it!
"Mom!?" I yelled, basically sprinting out of bed. I could fix this! Alena could live with us once I've found her, and everything will be okay! Oh joy oh joy, my heart is thumping out of my chest.
"Yes, sweetie? What's up?" She asked me, cutting up slices of melon.
"I-I um, I forgot something really important at the old house! It's important that I get it back, it's basically my life," I almost shouted, my excitement getting the better of me. Calm, Matthew, calm.
"Hmm.. This wouldn't have anything to do with Alena, would it?" My mom asked, her eyebrows raising in question. How could I lie to her? She knows everything.
"Um," I scratched the back of my neck, not knowing what to say. My eyes were basically pleading as I looked at her.
"Fine," My mother sighed, making my lips turn up into a smile. "But, don't tell your father it's for Alena, he's been very... Strange, since he's seen you kiss her," My mother admitted.
"Why?" I asked, my voice low. Surely my dad didn't feel negative towards Alena, right?
"To be honest with you son, He doesn't want you to end up like us." My mother told me truthfully, I almost sunk into the chair next to me.
"I'm gonna change the way things are for people like us, mom, you watch," I promised, giving her a kiss on the cheek and heading up the stairs. I promise mom, I promise.
