Chapter 21

[ Isabella's POV ]

(Decmember 31 )

The year has gone by so fast it was already going to be a New Year. I don't regret anything that has happened among this year. It all happened for a reason, even the bad things. Ashton and I have been more affectionate since we decided on getting remarried in April. Luke finally found a girlfriend, I don't think she knows about his work but they look in love, and I hope the day Luke tells her she will still love him. Calum has been seeing some girl, I don't know if it's official yet but they have been on a few dates. Alex and Niall are getting married in November, which I am glad for. All our friends, scratch that, our family has been through so much yet we still stuck together. I was thankful for everyone here and I would not change a thing about them.

I was currently making dinner for eveyone as like a last dinner of the year. Luke was helping me but then he left to go hang out with his girlfriend. I didn't really mind that he had a girlfriend but he really needs to give her some space. I get it though he is just in love and that's fine, everyone falls in love. 

"Hey do you need some help?" A person asks and I turn to see it's Alex, Luke's girlfriend, and the girl Calum was seeing.

"Uh, yeah I actually do need help. I don't mean to sound rude but what are you guys name?"

"My name is Melissa." Luke's girlfriend says.

"My name is Angelina, but most people call me Ange." Calum's girl says.

"Oh okay and thanks for helping." I tell them.

We end up finishing making dinner early since they helped, and I learned a lot about the girls. But I'm still sure that they don't know what Luke and Calum do for living. I just hope they don't freak out and run out on them. I wouldn't want them to feeling heart broken because it has been a while since they dated people. The last girl Luke dated freaked out and got Luke sent to jail for a few months. The last girl Calum dated, it worked out, but then he found out she was cheating on him, I felt so bad for him. 

"Boys! Time for dinner!" I yell in the back yard.

They all come running in and go to the dinning room pushing eachother. They will forever be little children. But I rather them act like children than be all serious, it would be horrible if they were serious all the time. I was walking back to the dinning room when Melissa stopped me.

"By the way I know about what you all do for living. I don't mind and I won't tell anyone either." She says smiling.

"Thank you, by the way I think Luke is in love with you, so don't hurt him, I'm begging you." I tell her.

"If anything he would be the one to hurt me because I'm to in love with him way to much to do that." She says.

"Alright, let's go eat dinner. They are probably looking for us." I say. 

We walk back into the dinning room and sit next to our boyfriends, or her boyfriend and my husband. Which ever works. We all eat in silence with a little small talk for time to time.

"So what do the cops think about what you all do for living?" Melissa asks.

"What are you talking about?" Ange says.

"Uh about the killing that they do." She says. Ange drops her fork.

"What?!?!?" She yells and let's go of Calum's hand. 

Shit! Wrong time to bring it up Melissa, this is not going to end well. I just know it.

"Opps, I thought she knew, I'm so sorry Calum. I'll talk to her, it's my fault." Melissa says and gets up and goes out the dinning room to find Ange. 

"Calum, it's okay. You'll get her back." Luke says.

"NO! IT'S NOT THAT EASY! SHE WILL NEVER WANT ME!" Calum yells, slamming his fist on the table.

"Calum, she said she is going to give you 10 minutes to explain. Sorry that's the best I could get, and sorry about bringing it up I though everyone knew." Melissa says as she enters the room.

"Go get her Calum, you can do it." I tell him. He gets up and leaves.

"I just ruined everything." Melissa says and she crys in to Luke's arms.

"No, you didn't, she was bound to find out anyway don't stress it." I reassure her.

[ Calum's POV ]

I run out the dinning room and to the front door, I open it and find Ange standing there. I look at her and she looks at me. I go to hug her and she denies me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She asks as she looks at me.

"Because I knew you would leave me. They all leave." I mumble.

"I'm not upset with what you do, I'm upset that you didn't tell me. I know we're not exactly a couple but I would've liked to know." She says.

"I knew if I told you would leave me. I can't have anymore people leave, not after my parents died and she left me. I just can't have anyone else leave and I knew you would leave, that's why I didn't tell you." I say and start to cry.

"Calum." She starts, "I'm not going to leave I'm just hurt you didn't tell me. It's not the best job in the world but it's your life not mine and I can't stop you from doing it. I just would like to know that you trust me enough to tell me things and not lie to me. I just want to know that there is trust."

"So you aren't leaving me.' I say.

"No, I'm not leaving. I would just like to know that you trust me and we could move on in this relationship."

"I promise I won't hide things from you anymore." I say.

"Good because the next time I will leave you and you will never see me again. Are we clear?"

"Yes."

"Okay now lets go back inside and enjoy the nice dinner the girls and I prepared for you guys."

We walk back into the house and into the dinning room and take our seats. Everyone stays silent through out the dinner.

( I didn't want to leave Calum broken hearted. I would've felt terrible. -Sam xx)
