Chapter 36

Today I was getting an ultrasound and Ashton was coming along; obviously. I don’t think we have ever been this happy before, I mean we are happy but I think this baby just makes us even happier. I just really loved this whole thing, becoming a family and such. I was honestly feeling great. We walked in through the doctor’s doors and waited in the waiting room. There were many women around us with their bellies huge, almost as if they would be popping soon. But the sad thing was they didn’t have a man or the father of the child with them. I don’t understand what guy would get someone pregnant but refuse to be by their side. If you were brave enough to have sex with the girl without a condom then you should be able to help raise it child. Under no circumstances was it good to just fuck and dump a woman. The women around the room stared at Ashton and I, I could see that they were jealous by the way they stared at me. I mean Ashton is a good looking guy, he is actually sticking around to father this child, and we were happy together. What girl wouldn’t want that? I surely would want the man not to just get me pregnant but to stick around and see how this child would grow up and to be.

“Isabella Irwin,” a doctor calls out.

We stand up and walk over to him and he leads us to a room. The room had all white walls besides one that held a picture frame with ultrasound photographs in each one, in the corner was a hospital bed with the usual bed spread or paper, and on the side were gel and the machine that would display the ultrasound. It was all exciting but scary but I was glad that I had Ashton by my side and would be by my side through this whole pregnancy. My mind has changed now and so has Ashton’s mind, but our minds was in a different state before I even got pregnant. We no longer attend the crazy parties that were held at our house, we didn’t go out as much, but all we really did was embrace each other because we realized time is limited. Time doesn’t stop and wait for anyone, we realized we needed to embrace each other before our time was up and it was time to say good bye.

As the doctor started to move the machine around to see where it was we finally came into view with our child. At first he looked like a turtle but then it shifted and you could see its little head and body. My lips were formed into a smile as I was fascinated by what I was looking at. I created this, actually no Ashton and I created this little human that we would meet soon. It was absolutely breath taking at what we were witnessing and I could see the smile form on Ashton’s face.

After we finished the ultrasound, we got some photographs of the ultrasound.  I treasured the photographs with all my heart as we left and were greeted with Louisiana’s winter weather. It wasn’t as cold as other states but I think this weather was enough to make me freeze in place.

Once we got home we showed everyone the photos and they were absolutely going nuts on how precious it was. Luke and Kaila were the most happiest than the others, they thought it was extremely cool that a human was growing inside of me and they just loved children. I had a feeling these two would get together soon but who knows what could happen. Kaila could find someone better than Harry and Luke could find someone better than Melissa. I just hope whoever gets their love they better treasurer it with all they have.

After going through all that process I decide to take a nap and of course Ashton joined along. Lately we have been so close it was impossible to be away from him. I could tell Ashton was taking this father stuff too serious but I liked it. I liked knowing that he wouldn’t leave me anytime soon and I love how he has been acting since finding out about this child.

We basically spooned because Ashton didn’t want to hurt the baby when I haven’t even started growing a stomach, all I had was a little bump but it has only been a month. Soon my stomach would get bigger and my fingers would get chubbier.

“Ashton,” I asked.

“What’s up darling,” he asks.

“Will you love me forever,” I ask.

Of course he would but I wanted to her it come out of his mouth and in his exact words because it just made everything seem so much better. He slowly shifted to face me before looking into by eyes and speaking.

“Of course I will always love you. I don’t see myself ever leaving you or our child. There is no other girl I would rather be with than you, you are the only person that understands me.” He says in a worried voice.

“Good because I feel the same towards you,” I smile.

“C’mon let’s take that nap you wanted,” he says.

He opens his arm and I slowly cuddle up into him and he throws a blanket over us before we go into a deep slumber.

“I love you forever and always,” is the last thing I hear before going to bed.

[ Luke’s POV ]

I marched up to Kaila’s office and knocked on the door. I heard a “come in” before opening the door and seeing her at her desk with papers shuffled everywhere. She was nowhere in sight but I heard papers shuffling around and being thrown in the air.

“Hello,” I ask.

“Down here,” I hear before looking over her desk and seeing her on the floor with stacks of paper surrounding her.

“You okay,” I ask.

“Yeah I’m just looking for a certain paper but it’s nowhere in sight,” She sighs.

“Oh should I come at a different time or?” I ask confused.

“It would be good if you did, sorry for being so busy,” she apologizes.

“Its fine I understand you are a busy person. Just send me an email or something when you aren’t busy.” I say.

“Will do mate,” she says and goes back to shuffling through the piles of papers.

 I leave the office and walk to my bedroom; once I’m near I hear noises. I could hear noises from a spare bedroom and that room is unoccupied. I walk closer to the door and realize it is someone moaning. I reach for the door but think about what I should do before I walk in. I open the door and catch Melissa and Harry. I accidently trip over my foot somehow and fall to the floor causing a big noise. They turn around and catch me on the floor and their mouths go wide. I shut the door and run to Kaila’s office and slam the door shut.

“Luke is that you,” she asks but I can’t say anything because I begin to cry.

“Luke oh my god! What’s wrong?” She asks running towards me.

“Harry, Melissa, I just saw. Them together. Cheating on me,” I say through cries.

“Come here,” she says before comforting me and whispering positive thing to me.
