Chapter 6

JESS' POV

"Louis!" I said as I flopped onto my bed. "Hmm?" He answered. "Louis, I got a boyfriend, and , we kissed" I said. Louis remained silent. "Louis?" I said. "I'm here" he replied. "You ok?" I said. "Ya, I'm fine" he said. "Do you have a girlfriend?" I blurted out. "Not yet, but I'm working on it" he replied. "Have your eye on anyone?" I said. "You're a curious one aren't you?" Louis joked. "C'mon" I said. "Alright, I do have my eye on someone" he admitted. "What's she like?" I said. " well, she's an amazing girl, with beautiful locks of blond, and these sparkling eyes" Louis said. "What's her name?" I asked. "Her name's Jess" he replied. I blushed deeply. "Last question I promise" I said. "Alright," Louis said. "What are you?" I said. Louis sighed deeply before answering."I'm a guardian" Louis finally said. "Like an angel?" I said. "I though you said that was the last question?" Louis chuckled. "Louis" I whined. "Alright, alright, it's not exactly an angel, but very similar, we watch over people, and keep them safe, each guardian has one person, unlike angels, that may have more than one person to watch over" he explained. Now I understood. "So, you're my guardian?" I said. "Ya, actually a friend of mine is your friend's guardian" Louis said. "Kendal has a guardian too?" I said. "Ya, just about everyone does" Louis replied. "Now enough talk, go to sleep, it's been a long day" Louis said. "Goodnight Louis" I said. "Night,love" he replied.

KENDAL'S POV

"So you're a what?" I said."a guardian" Liam replied. "Cool" I said. "Kendal?" Jess said coming over to me. " hey Jess" I said smiling. "I really need to talk to you" she said. "Is everything ok?" I said worried. "Everything's fine" she replied. "Ok, so have you been hearing a voice in your head?" She said. "What? No, that's crazy" I lied. "Kendal really, please don't lie to me" she said in a serious tone. "Fine, yes I have" I admitted. "We'll, so have I, and these voices are friends" she said. "That's so cool, the guardians and the people are friends" I said amazed. "And there's a thing about my voice" she started. "He likes me" she said. "And I think I'm starting to like him back" she blurted out. My mouth dropped open. "What?" I questioned. "He's so sweet, and I know what he looks like from the dreams, I just haven't seen him in real life" she said. "I understand" I said. Jess looked up at me in shock. "Cause, I'm in love with the voice in my head too" I said.
