JESS' POV

"Glad you could make it" I said to Kendal and Liam as they approached us. "Thanks for inviting us" she replied. "Back at this place again?" Liam said. "its not that bad," Kendal said. we walked into the house and the group of guys approached us. "great, everyone's here" luke smiled. "hey Louis," someone greeted. "hey" Louis replied. The guys eyes met mine. "hi, I'm Gavin" he said smiling. "Jess" I returned the smile. "this is Kendal and Liam" luke introduced them. "so, we heard there's a band playing tonight?" I said. "Yes there is, they're actually about to go on now" luke smiled. "so who is it?" Louis asked. "lets go guys" luke said to Ashton, Calum, and Michael, ignoring Louis' question. They made their way up to the small stage that I never realized was there. "hey everyone!" Luke announced. "is everyone having a good time?" Ashton said. Everyone cheered in reply. "great, so we're going to sing a little song for you guys, hope you like it" Luke said.

Unpredictable

She sits at home with the lights out,

The song finally ended and people cheered. "thank you, thank you" Calum said as they all walked off the stage. "I didn't know you guys were in a band" I said when they reached us. "there's a lot you don't know" Michael said. "shut up" Calum whispered to him. "what, it's true" Michael whispered back to Calum. "well, we better get going" Louis said. "you're leaving so soon?" Gavin asked. "ya, sorry" I said. "Well, it was nice meeting you all, and take this with you" Gavin said handing us a bottle. "I don't drink" I said. "bummer, well maybe your boyfriend would like some" he said. "I don't drink either, but i'll take it just in case we have a special celebration" Louis said, taking the bottle from him. "Speaking of, Jess I hear your birthday's coming up soon," Michael said. "Actually, yes it is coming up. how'd you know?" I asked. "I just know" he replied. "so, how about we throw a party in your honor?" Ashton suggests. "you'd be throwing a party anyways" Gavin said. "How about it jess?" Ashton said, ignoring Gavin's comment. "ok, as long as you promise to perform again, you guys are great" I smiled. "thank you. of course we'll perform for your birthday" Ashton said. "Graduation too right?" Luke said. "You guys just know everything don't you?" I teased. "Ya, actually we do know a lot" Calum replied. "Oh ya, you are graduating soon" Louis said. "graduation party!

Michael yelled. "They're in the same week, I only need one party" I laughed. "fine" Michael sighed. My phone buzzed in my pocket.

From Christy:

Dinners ready. where are you?

I texted back

On my way, traffic

"I have to go, my mom wants me home" I said. "ok, bye." everyone said.

I closed the front door. all the lights were off. I walked quietly up the Stairs and attempted to tiptoe past Christy's room so I didn't wake her up. "where have you been?" her voice started me. "I went to see a band play" I replied. "Where?" she asked. "with some friends, downtown" I half lied. "which friends?" she asked. " Liam, Louis, and Kendal" I replied. "well then, just don't be home so late next time, dinners in your room" she dismissed me. I went into my room and ate the bowl of spaghetti on my nightstand.

My phone lit up. I picked it up and read the text front the unknown number. "hey" it read. "who are you?" I responded. "Gavin" he replied. "how'd you even get my number?" I texted. "luke" he responded. "so what's up? how's your night?"

"It's good, just got home, busted by my mom"

"Ouch sorry"

"It's fine, I gtg night"

"Night"

I shut my phone off completely and drifted off to sleep.

I'm sorry it took so long to update. I've been planning out the last few chapters of the book. the book is is almost done, only a couple more chapters until the end. I will be publishing the sequel shortly after the completion of this book. I hope you've liked the book so far and id appreciate any feedback you have about the book.
