Chapter 42

KRNDAL'S POV

"Kendal time to go!" my mom called from downstairs. I ran down the stairs and I met her at the front door. "someone's here for you" she smiled. Liam entered the room with a big smile on his face. "ready to go?" he asked. "ya," I said, saying goodbye to my mom. Today was the last day of school. the last day of high school. "you excited?" Liam said putting his hand on my leg. "ya, I can't believe I'm graduating tomorrow. it's so unbelievable" I replied. "Your growing up so fast" he said, wiping an invisible tear. "So I've been looking around for my own place, and I found this really nice one. I was wondering of you could help me move?" he asked. "ya of course, what time do you want me to come by?" I asked. "anytime, maybe you can even stay the night tonight?" he replied. "Liam I don't know about that. that's something that's up to my mom" I said. "ok, let me know though ok?" he said as we pulled into the school lot. "here we are" he said. I opened the door and walked into the school. "who was that guy in the car with you?" Riley said, appearing next to me. "a friend of mine" I lied. " a friend?" she wasn't convinced. "fine you got me, he's my boyfriend" I admitted. "oh, well lucky you, he's a cutie" she said. "hands off, he's mine" I replied. "fine, fine. I have brad anyways" she smiled. "when did you guys start dating?" I asked. "a few days after the dance, you didn't know?" she said. "no I didn't, the last few months have been very, interesting" I replied. "well I got to go, see you later?" Riley said walking away, meeting brad halfway to the class. I walked to my first class and the day went by slowly.

I finally found myself in my last class. I glanced at the clock. "only a few more minutes" someone whispered. I glanced back at Jess, also eyeing the clock ticking away. she caught my eye and smiled. "almost there" she mouthed. "Yep" I mouthed back. the bell rang and everyone jumped out of their seats and ran out of the classroom. "have a great summer!" the teacher called out.

"How was your last day?" my mom asked as I walked into the kitchen. "It was good," I replied. "that's good. are you ready for your graduation tomorrow? you have everything ready?" she asked. "ya, everything's ready. speaking of tomorrow, Liam's moving into a new place and was wondering if I could help him move in?" I said. "ya that's fine" she replied. "also, I was wondering if I could, maybe spend the night tonight?" I asked. "yes that's ok with me" she replied. "really, you're going to let me?" I asked, surprised with her answer. "yes, of course I'm going to let you. Kendal your 18, your graduating tomorrow. Liam's a good boy with good intentions and I trust you guys to spend the night together" she explained. "thank you mom" I hugged her. The door bell rang and she went to go answer it. "Seems like he knew I said yes" my mom laughed as she looked at Liam in the doorway. Liam and I smiled at each other, clearly thinking the same thing. "ready to go?" Liam said. "Not yet," I said. I ran up to my room and gathered my dress and shoes for tomorrow and an extra set of clothes. "now I am," I said coming down stairs with my bag. Liam took the bag from me and we walked to the car.

"This place is really nice" I said as we entered Liam's new house. "thanks, it kinda reminds me of my old place" he smiled. "ya it does" I said, remembering images of Liam's old house. "why so many rooms?" I asked, noticing the four bedrooms throughout the house. "well, I thought that maybe..." he trailed off. "maybe what?" I urged him to continue. "maybe, you could move in here, with me" he said. "Liam," I had no words. "it's ok if you don't want to, I just though.." "its not that I don't want to, its just, I need time to think about this," I explained. "oh." he replied. "you're right, you do need time to think, sorry" he said. "its fine, this place is lovely though, it really is" I said. "ya, I thought you'd like it" he replied. "so ready to bring those boxes in?" I said, changing he subject. "Ya," he smiled.
