KENDAL'S POV

I looked out the window at the falling rain. the once bright blue sky formed grey clouds in a matter of minutes. "Kendal, dinner" my mother called. "coming" I replied, running down to the dinner table. I sat in silence as my parents talked about a guy at the office. "Kendal , are you ok?" my mother asked, noticing my untouched food. "ya, just tired" I lied. "You may be excused if you'd like" my mother smiled. "thanks" I said getting up from the table.

Everything was so crazy today, at least Louis wasn't like this with Jess, not yet at least. I remember Harry talking to Jess and I about the different types of darks. "there are three types, angry, needy, and protective" I recalled. I've seen 2 of the three. twice. What did I get myself into?

I crawled into bed and attempted to close my eyes. Several hours later I still lay awake in my bed. I glance at the clock on my nightstand. '3am' it read. I picked up my phone and dialed jess' number. "hello?" she said sleepily. "hey, sorry to wake you" I replied. " its fine, what's up?" she asked. " I can't sleep, I just can't get what happened with Liam out of my mind.." I said. "oh" she replied. "Would you have let him?" she continued. "no, hell no, it's too early in the relationship and we're still in high school" I explained. "that's true," Jess replied. "do you want to come over or something?" she continued. "its fine, I wouldn't want to wake anyone else up" I said. "Ya, Christy's not exactly a morning person" she laughed. "ya," I replied. "I'll let you go back to sleep. we have school Monday" I said. "uhh, I don't want to go, i'll just call it a lazy day, care to join me" she joked. "nah, besides we both have a shitload of work to make up for the week we 'disappeared' " I said, "ok, fine i'll go." she said. "goodnight" I said. "you mean good morning" she corrected. "ya, good morning Jess, see you later" I replied. "bye" she said hanging up.
