Chapter 40

LOUIS' POV

I woke up to bright sunlight shining through the window. I peered over at Jess, sleeping soundly. "stop staring" she giggled, her eyes still closed. " I can't" I replied. "Lets get out of this place" I said, pushing the blanket off my body. I retrieved my clothes and changed out of the hospital gown.

My phone buzzed in my jeans pocket. "hello?" I said. "hey Lou, your coming by again right? the bands performing" Luke's voice filled my ear. "I can't, sorry" I said. "bummer, Gavin really wants to get to know you better" he said. "Sorry" I said.

"Who was that?" Jess said after I hung up. "luke, he was asking about coming to the party tonight, a bands performing" I replied. " a band? We should go" she said. "no way" I said. "c'mon please?" she asked. "I need a break from those parties, and I want to spend some time with you" I replied. "ok" she smiled. "but, can we see the band at least," she said. "Jess, you really want to go back there?" I asked. "ya, just to see the band" she replied. "fine," I said.

I took her hand in mine and we walked to a nearby restaurant.

JESS' POV

"Table for two" Louis said to the hostess. She led us to a table and we sat down. She sat our drinks and meals on the table. "this is nice" Louis said. "ya it is," I replied. "this is the first real date since we left my world" he said. "ya, I guess it is" I smiled, remembering the dinner with Liam and Kendal. "I haven't seen Liam around lately" I said. "maybe he can come with us to the party?" I continued "maybe" Louis said sipping his drink. "Check please" Louis said. the waitress gave us our check. "I'll pay" I offered. "nonsense, I'm paying" Louis argued. "Louis, I want to pay" I said. "Jess, I need to pay" he replied. finally I gave up and let him pay for our meal.

KENDAL'S POV

"Sounds like fun" I said into the phone. "so you and Liam are coming right?" Jess said. "ya," I replied. "we're only seeing the band then leaving right after" Jess explained. "got it" I agreed. I threw on a blue dress and black heels and curled my brown hair. "Where you going?" Liam said walking into my bedroom. "Jess invited us to a party to see a band play" I replied. "cool," Liam replied. "are you going going like that?" I asked. "what you don't like it" he said, pretending to be offended. "no, I love it. lets get going" I smiled.

If any of you are confused on why Jess wants to go back to that house after Louis' injury, she just wants to see the band play, and then they're leaving. nothing bad happens.
