Chapter 9

KENDAL'S POV

"Are you ready?" Liam said. "Ya," I replied. "Don't forget the note" Liam reminded me. I grabbed a piece of paper and started writing.

"Mom, I am going on a road trip for a little while, don't worry about me, I ll be back eventually....

I put the note on the table and went out the front door. "They'll meet up with you" Liam said. I nodded in reply and took one last look at my house before stepping in my car and driving away....

JESS'S POV

My hands were shaky as I finished packing my bag. "Don't be nervous, everything's going to be ok" Louis assured me. "I know, I just don't know how Christy's going to react" I said. Louis remained silent. "Write the note" Louis said. I took out a piece of paper and started writing.

"Christy, I am going on a road trip for a little while, don't worry about me, I ll be back eventually....

I put it in on her bed and then went back to my room. "When did you say she was getting back?" Louis asked. "Next week" I replied. "Just wait a little bit, they'll be here soon" Louis said. " Lou, I'm scared," I blurted out, my voice shaky. "Don't be, if I was there in person right now I'd give you a hug, to ease off your stress" Louis said. "Thanks Louis, and I would gladly accept it" I smiled.

There was a loud knock at the door. "go get it" Louis said. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs to the front door. I opened the door to see a curly haired boy standing there. "who are you?" I asked. "I'm Harry, I'm a friend of Louis" he replied. "c'mon, get in your car" he demanded. "why?" I questioned. "no questions. go" he said. we started walking towards my car. "jess?" someone said from the distance. "Ryan, what are you doing here?" I said. "I wanted to hang out tonight" he replied. "where are you going?" he continued. "Out" I said. "who's that guy!" he yelled, looking at Harry. "Ryan, calm down, he's a friend" I assured him. "Stop talking bull, tell me where the hell you're going and who the fuck that guy is!" Ryan yelled. "Ryan, I got to go" I said turning towards my car. Ryan grabbed my arm tightly. "Ryan, let go" I begged. "you're not going anywhere with that guy" Ryan responded. "you're hurting me" I said. "Without me, you're just going to go back to being a loser Jess!" he yelled. "I don't need you to feel wanted, or noticed" I said turning to Harry and smiling. Ryan turned my head to face him and slapped me across the face. "hope you got what you wanted Jess!" Ryan yelled. out of nowhere Harry jumped in front of me and punched Ryan in the face, making him fall and pass out. We ran into my car and Harry started the engine. "you didn't kill him did you?" I asked. "do you want me to? cause that can be arranged" Harry said smiling. I laughed at his comment. "na, he got what he deserved.... thanks" I said. " Well, No one messes with Louis girl," Harry chuckled. "Louis girl?" I questioned. "aren't you a thing?" Harry asked. "no, well, not exactly, I mean I don't think so" I hesitated. "I get it," Harry said. "it's just, he's been telling all of us that your his, and that none of us can even lay an eye on you" he continued. "is that so?" I said. Harry nodded in reply.

KENDAL'S POV

"Liam where am I going?" I asked. "just keep driving a bit further almost there" Liam replied. "And, stop" he continued. A blond guy was sitting on a bench, just a few feet from where I stopped. "don't be shy" Liam chuckled. I stepped out of the car and approached the guy. "hello?" I said. "hi, you must be Kendal" he said putting his hand out. I shook his hand. "so you're a friend of Liam's?" I asked. yes, I'm Niall" he said in an Irish accent. "I like your accent" I said. "thanks" he replied. "Lets go, we got to meet the others" he said urging me towards the car. I sat in the passenger seat while he drove. we drove about twenty minutes up until we stopped again. I saw another car. a guy got out and came to the window. "you got her?" he said. "yes Harry" Niall replied. "great" the other guy replied. "get out of re car and go to the other one" Niall demanded. I did what I was told. when I sat in my seat in the other car I noticed another person. "Jess?" I said.

JESS' POV

"Jess?" someone said from the backseat. "Kendal!" I said. "what's going on?" she asked, her voice shaky. "they're bringing us to Louis" I said. "and Liam" she added. "Ready to go?" Harry said once we were all in the car. Kendal and I nodded our heads.

Once again we stopped. "come with me" the blond said. Kendal and I followed Niall and Harry into the forest. "Zayn? Zayn where are you?" Harry called out. "here" a guy with dark hair said. "girls, this is Zayn" Harry said. "Kendal, Jess, I've heard so much about you" Zayn smiled. "I'm going to bring Kendal back to the car, Niall said, Harry following. "we should head back too," Zayn said. we started walking. "wait, haven't we been here before?" I pointed out. we were going in circles, we were lost. suddenly it started raining. hard. Zayn an I ran through the forest until we caught sight of the car. Kendal opened the door and let Zayn and I into the backseat. I was shivering uncontrollably. "you're cold, here take this" Zayn said giving me him shirt. his chest was covered in tattoos. "How are you dry?" I asked, wrapping the shirt around me. "I'm immortal," he explained. "besides, Louis would kill me if you got sick" he joked. "is everyone here?" Niall said in the drivers seat. "yep" Zayn answered.
