JESS' POV

I started toward the tower. I looked up at it in amazement. "Woah," I said. It was like a tower from all the Disney movies, big, tall, but not always hard to get up. I looked around for the door, which I found minutes later. "Hello?" I said pushing on the creaky door. A big dog started barking at me, causing me to exit the dark room. "If they really care about you, they won't give up finding you" a voice flashed in my head. I looked up at the tower again, thinking of ways to get to Louis. I circled the outside of the tower a couple of times before I noticed the vine ladder going up the side of the tower. "I'm coming Louis," I said. I took a deep breath and started to climb the massive vine ladder.

"Almost there," I whispered to myself. Once on the balcony, I took a minute to breath, because of my way up. I looked at the glass double doors before me. I put my hand on the knob and froze. "What if he doesn't like me? What will happen after this? Will he go with me? Or we stay here? What will Christy think?" Questions flashed through my mind. I shrugged them off and turned the knob slowly. The room was dark like downstairs. "Hello?" I asked. No answer. Another big dog appeared in the corner of the room and started growling. I backed away slowly, using my phone as a flashlight. I noticed a staircase leading even higher up, and ran up them, closing the door behind me once I was at the top, in a new room. The light was very dim, so it was still difficult to see. "Louis?" I said. I heard a noise on the other side of the room. "Another dog?" I asked myself. I backed up slowly, not realizing I was now going onto the balcony, which had been slightly damaged and had no railing. My foot slipped and I screamed for help as I hanged off the balcony.
