Chapter 14

All is set for the outing. Isang dufflebag ang pinaglagyan niya ng sariling mga gamit. Napagpasyahan ng mga magkakaibigan na magstay doon ng three days. They planned it to be on Axel's resort. An island which only accomodates not more than fifty visitors.
The thought of a beach crept her system but she eagerly ignored the thought. It will do nothing but to steal her own chance of happiness.
Zach arrived early in the morning yesterday and he'll going to pick her up today after lunch. He had given her a bracelet when he went to their house yesterday afternoon. She on the otherhand had the chance to gave her gift to him too. Agad naman itong isinuot ng binata.

This morning Zach called her for some information about the outing. Kanina niya rin lang inimpake ang mga kakailanganing gamit para roon.

Reston didn't joined them for lunch. She had no idea where did he go. Yesterday ay halos hindi niya ito nakita sa maghapon. Nakasabay nila lang itong kumain ng maghapunan na. She wasn't sure if he intentionally avoids her neither if he'll be coming for their outing.

Her phone rang just in time she went out from the bathroom. Zach's name appeared on the screen. She then swiped it and answered his call.

"Hey, is everything set?" He asked in a hyper tone.

"Uh yeah." She said. Lots of thing running in her mind and as much as she wanted to push it away, it keeps on coming back. First, she wish Reston would change his mind not to come with them in this outing. His presence alone made her sanity sucks. Another thing is, her heart hitch just the thought they were going to a beach. Iniisip niya pa lang ay kinakabahan na siya.

"Are you okay? Something's bothering you, may problema ba?" Zach on the other line sensed her weary.

"Nothing..." she shook her head as if the man on the phone will see her.

"I'm on my drive to pick you up. If something's bothering you, just honestly tell me okay?" He said.

Binaba niya na ang tawag at nagsimula ng magbihis. Any minutes now, Zach will be there. She decided to wore a white halter top above her navel and paired with yellow highwaist shorts. She puts on a red hat with a wide brim while stepping out of her gladiator sandals. Carrying her dufflebag, she went out of the room. Zach helped her to carry her thing in the middle of the staircase.

She saw her Lola in the living room. Nagpaalam sila dito. She glanced back at the staircase finding someone who might go down from his room but there's nothing. Zach guided her to his car. Ang sabi nito'y sa pier na lang sila magkikita kita ng mga kaibigan nito patungo sa isla. He opened the door for her. He went to the backseat and put her thing there. He jogged to the driver's seat and he slid his self in.

"So what is it?" He asked before starting the engine.

"Wala nga." Umiling siya dito.

"Look Sid, if you don't want to go for this outing just tell me, I would understand." He said.

"Ano ka ba, it is just nothing. Moved the car. They might be waiting for us." She gave a reassuring smile and he stepped in the accelarator and the car drove off.

He never dared to brought up that topic. Hindi naman talaga kasi yun ang rason niya.

May ilang metro pa ang layo ay natanaw niya na ang mga kaibigan nila Zach malapit sa tabing dagat. They were all smiles when they saw them. Bitbit ni Zach ang dalawang dufflebag ay naglakad na sila palapit sa mga ito. She wasn't expecting like this, akala niya ay sa isang pier sila magkikita kita just like what Zach told her awhile ago. Isang may kalakihang bankang de motor ang naroon. He glanced back at him. Medyo malayo pa sila sa mga naghihintay na mga kaibigan nito.
