 My two best friends are in love with each other and I’m happy for them.  Pero bakit ganon? I can sense that something’s wrong but nah, nevermind. I’m happy that I have Nathan as my best friend, he lives next door. More like a sister na ang turing niya saakin, until nakilala niya ang childhood bestfriend ko na si Kyla na nag-transfer sa school namin. He fell in love, at ako ang naging tulay. .

Kahit masakit, kinakaya ko. .

Galing pa lang ako sa Korea this summer dahil dun ako nag-bakasyon, I bought pasalubong for Nathan and his parents. Dalawa lang silang magkapatid, he and Nina, close kami ni Nina dahil bestfriend niya din ang nag-iisa kong baby brother na si Charles.

“Manang! Pabukas naman po!” Nasa tapat na ako ng napaka-laking gate nila Nathan, he said na hintayin ko na lang daw siya sa room niya kasi nagpa-practice pa sila sa basketball and yeah, he’s a varsity player and captain siya ng basketball team ng school namin. By the way, I’m in 4th year high school sa pasukan. Class A.

“Ay nako Maam Chin, wala pa po si Ser Nathan ee.” Manang said to me as she opened the big gate.

“I know po Manang, he called me. Here, pasalubong mo po.” I handed her the pasalubong, smiled at her and hurriedly went to Nathan’s room. Nilagay ko yung mga pasalubong sa may bed side table niya at nahiga na sa kama niya. Really weird huh? We can sleep in each other’s bed without thinking na may mangyayari. I closed my eyes because I’m so tired for today’s appointments.

I don’t know if I have fallen asleep but I heard someone opened the door at nahiga sa tabi ko.

“It’s you.” I said with a husky voice. Nahiga siya sa tabi ko at niyakap ako sa waist. He’s really sweet. I know his smell though.

“Thanks for the pasalubongs.” Then he kissed me on my cheek that ‘caused me to open my eyes. Ayan pa rin siya, walang nagbabago sa kanya. He’s really handsome, thinking na captain pa siya ng Basketball team. Tinitigan ko lang siya for a moment habang nakapikit pa rin yung mata niya at nakayakap siya saakin through my waist.

“Don’t stare to me like that! I might melt.” He said with a teasing tone. Hahaha. I tried not to laugh in front of him making him think that I’m serious.

“Hindi ko lang ma-imagine kung gaano ka kapangit. Haha.” And with that, bigla siyang napabukas ng mata niya. I can really tell na swerte ang magiging girlfriend ng best friend ko, saying that he has his deep-brown eyes, blonde messy hair and everything.
