Nathan’s POV:

She really is pretty but nothing compared to my Chen. Yeah, I’m referring to that Kyla girl. I’m somewhat attracted to her, you know it’s a guy thing but I want to make sure about my feelings before I. . . court her.

“Nathan, this is Kyla Harisson. Siya yung kine-kwento ko sayong childhood bestfriend ko.” Chen started. I gave her my ‘i-don’t-care’ look, because I want her to know she’s everything I care for, dude. This is freaking kinda gay!!

“Kyla, this is Nathan Dy, siya yung bestfriend ko.” Okay, bestfriend. Hindi ba pwedeng idagdag ang protector?? I looked at Kyla and, woah! She gave me a smile. I froze, then she stretched her hands for the hand-shaking thing. I was mesmerized by the way she smiles. . .

After the introduction, we started walking for school since our school is just a walking distance from here. I stayed behind their back, watching them. I looked at Chen, she’s still the same nerdy-boyish best friend I have, I turned my look to Kyla, the way she smiles and laughs to Chen is. No.Freaking.Way.

Dude, tell me. Am I getting into the nerves of this gay-love-thing?

We arrived at our school just in time. Hinatid na rin namin si Kyla sa room niya since hindi naming siya ka-section ni Chen. As a matter-of-fact, classmates niya almost all of the cheerleaders.

“Bye Chin…. Nathan.” Then she waved her hand at pumasok na sa room niya. Tell you man, natulala lahat ng guys sa room. Nagpatuloy na kami sa paglalakad ni Chen papunta ng kabilang side ng building ng academy namin. . We’re both quiet.

“Hi Nathan.”

“Hi Dy.”

“Hi Captain. Uwaaa!!” The things I hate the most is, attention. Okay? I’m the Captain of the Basketball team so the attention is centered into me. Nahalata ko na nanlilisik na yung mga mata ng mga girls kaya inakbayan ko si Chen, making her feel that she’s protected when she’s with me.

“Don’t mind them, Chen. I’m here.” She gave me a smile, the sweetest smile I loved for the rest of my life.

Nagpatuloy lang kami sa paglalakad while naka-akbay ako sa kanya. Bigla na lang naming nakasalubong si James at si Gab, my closest friends, both are players of Basketball team.

“Yow dude!” James closed his fist and hit me on my arms, but not that strong.

Nabaling naman yung attention nila kay Chen na nakatingin dun sa gilid, lalo na si Gab na playboy saamin.

“Dude pwede lapitan bestfriend mo?” Tinanong ako ni Gab pero hindi niya hinintay yung sagot ko. Pumunta siya agad kay Chen at kinuha yung kamay.

Don’t tell me he’ll kiss her?!

I hurriedly run to them before pa dumampi yung lips ni Gab sa kamay ni Chen, tinulak ko siya papalayo kay Chen at sinabing. . .

“No.” on a scary-war-freak tone. Possesive na kung possessive. But what’s this feeling?! Am I being too protective ?

“Hindi ka pa rin nagbabago Nathan. You’re always you. See you guys later!” Nag-wave na si Gab saamin kasama si James papalayo, now. It’s our turn naman para pumunta sa room namin.
