*one week later*

"You sank my battleship," Clint grumbled.

Natasha cheered. "Yes!" She smirked as she looked over at Clint. "Best 5 out of 6?"

Clint shook his head. "No way. I'm done with Battleship."

"You're being a sore loser," Natasha continued to tease him with a sing-song voice.

"Don't care," Clint replied in the same tone, placing the game pieces back in the box.

There was a knock on the door and they both looked up. Simmons stood in the doorway with a smile. "Hello. Am I interrupting?"

"Not at all," Natasha smiled, "I was just busy kicking Clint's butt at Battleship."

Simmons laughed and walked over to the heart monitor. "Well, I'm here to give you a check up, and if all goes well, maybe take you off bedrest. Though, I wouldn't suggest going on more missions for quite a while."

"Understood," Natasha gave Simmons a two-fingered salute.

Simmons pulled out her stethoscope. "Take a deep breath." Natasha did as she was told and Simmons moved the stethoscope to another area. "Again." Natasha repeated the action and Simmons nodded, pulling away. She turned away from Natasha and monitored her vitals on the tablet in her hand. After a few minutes, she spoke up again. "It appears you are healthy. You're allowed to leave this bed," she smiled. "However, I'd advise you to take it easy, walk slowly, and if you feel any discomfort at all near your wound, come to me immediately."

"Thanks, Simmons."

"Grant," Skye called to her husband to get his attention.

He looked up. "What is it?"

"Can you hand me my headband? It's in the top drawer of my dresser," she gave him an innocent smile and a pleading look.

He sighed and stood up from his spot on the couch. "Fine."

"Thank you."

He walked out of the lounge and towards their bunk. He returned a moment later with a piece of paper in his hand, staring at it intently. "Skye..."

"Ah, good, you found it," she grinned, not looking up from her tablet.

"What is this?"

"An ultrasound," she shrugged nonchalantly.

"Why do you have it?"

"You're a smart guy, Ward. I'm sure you can figure it out," she smirked at her husband, setting the tablet down.

"You're pregnant?" Ward asked, finally looking away from the picture and meeting Skye's eyes.

A smile made its way on to Skye's face and she nodded. Ward walked over to her and sat down beside her on the couch.

"We're going to be parents," she grinned at him.

Ward leaned forward and kissed her softly. "I love you."

She continued grinning. "I love you too."
