Double update! Yay!
"I do."
"And do you, Skye Coulson, take Grant Ward to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health until death do you part?"
Skye smiled as she locked eyes with Ward. "I do."
"Then, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Mr. Ward, you may kiss your bride."
Ward pulled Skye close and Skye stood up on her toes to place a soft, chaste kiss on his lips. Their friends all clapped and Skye and Ward broke apart, facing the crowd and walking down the aisle.
Coulson walked up to meet them after a few minutes of letting them have some alone time and smiled. "Congratulations."
Skye walked over to Coulson and wrapped him in a hug, nestling her head in to his shoulder. "Thank you so much, Coulson. And thank you for letting me use your last name on the marriage certificate."
Coulson smiled and returned the hug, cradling Skye's head as he did so. "Well, I was the one walking you down the aisle, and I've always seen you as a daughter, it only made sense."
"It's greatly appreciated," Skye smiled warmly as she pulled away.
Fitz and Simmons walked up to them next, offering their congratulations. Simmons wrapped Skye in a hug. "You scared me when you both were ten minutes late, but everything went splendidly."
"Yeah, are we ever going to hear why you both were late?" Fitz asked with a smile as he moved in to hug Skye.
"Extremely long and tiring story," Skye waved her hand, "we'll tell you after all this has died down."
"I expect a good story in that case," Fitz teased.
"And a good story you shall have," Skye smiled as Rose and John walked up to them offering more congratulations.

"I never thought I'd have this," Skye sighed happily as she sat on Ward's lap with her head resting on his shoulder.
"Have what?"
"A family," she explained as she watched a few of their friends dancing, "close friends, you."
Ward pressed a kiss to her temple. "I never expected that the annoying girl we picked up from a van one day would be in this position either, but here we are."
Skye lightly slapped his chest. "Oh, hush."
Ward chuckled and Skye stood up, offering him a hand. "Care to dance?"
Ward took Skye's hand and stood up. "Mrs. Ward, it would be my pleasure."
Skye grinned at the use of her new last name and led her husband to the dance floor, wrapping her arms around his neck. They swayed back and forth and Skye rested her head on his chest. She grinned. "Look who's finally made it to the dance floor."
Ward turned them slightly so he could see what Skye was talking about. In front of him were Natasha and Clint, dancing together and laughing.
"It's about time," Skye grinned as Ward turned them back to their original position.
"They may just be two friends dancing," Ward defended.
Skye rolled her eyes. "If that's all it is, then I'll be locking them in a closet."
Ward laughed. "See, you're so focused on Nat and Clint that you missed this." He spun her and she saw Coulson and May dancing together.
"No way."
Ward shrugged again with a smile on his face. "Could just be two friends dancing."
"Whatever it is, I'm happy for them," Skye smiled. "They deserve a little happiness after all they've been put through over the years."
Skye looked over Ward's shoulder and saw two of her friends from her orphanage days. "I'm gonna go say hi, I'll catch you later."
She walked over to the two women and hugged them both. "I'm so glad you guys could make it!"
The blonde one smiled. "You think we'd miss this?"
The brunette grinned. "Congratulations, you got yourself quite the looker."
"And he's off the market," Skye teased with a finger pointed at her friend. "So how have you guys been?"
"Great," the blonde, Hannah, said. "I wasn't expecting to hear from you, much less with a wedding invite."
"I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep in touch as much as I'd like," Skye said regrettably.
"That's alright," the brunette, Maggie, replied. "You're a busy girl."
"Indeed, I am," Skye chuckled. She looked over her shoulder when she heard Simmons shout her name. "I think that means it's time to cut the cake. I'll talk to you guys later," she waved as she walked over to Simmons.
Simmons unveiled the two-tiered white cake with baby blue flowers from the local bakery.
"Jemma, without you, I would've completely forgotten about a cake," Skye laughed as she walked up to it.
"That's why you keep me around," she replied, handing Skye the knife.
Ward walked up behind Skye and put his hand on top of hers. "Try not to butcher the cake."
"Your lack of faith in me is disturbing," Skye rolled her eyes. They cut the cake together and Skye fed him a piece while accepting a piece from him.
The rest of the cake was quickly cut up and served to the guests and Skye and Ward sat down at a table with their team.
Skye took a bite of the cake. "Jemma, I love you."
"That good, huh?"
Skye nodded, taking another bite of the cake.
"Well, I'm glad you like it."
"It's amazing," Skye said as she finished off her slice. She slid her plate away from her and leaned back in her chair. She looked around at all her close friends and smiled. "Thank you for all your help. This wouldn't have happened without you guys. I hope you all know how grateful I am."
"We're happy to help, Skye," Coulson smiled, briefly resting a hand on Skye's shoulder.
"Well, I'm still grateful," Skye smiled as Coulson retracted his hand. "Today was...pretty much perfect."
"Pretty much?" Simmons inquired, hoping to finally hear what had happened earlier.
"Ward and I were kidnapped," Skye said nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders. "We broke free, blew up the base, they should be off our tail by now."
Jemma's jaw dropped. "You're kidding."
"Nope," Skye popped the 'p', shaking her head.
"Well, you've certainly had an eventful day," May smirked.
"Yeah, and I am exhausted."
