*six months later*

"Thank you for letting us stay here," Skye smiled as she rested her hands on her very large stomach.

"It's no trouble at all," Rose shook her head as she opened the door to her house, letting Skye and Ward inside.

"I would've stayed on the Bus longer," Skye explained as she walked over to the couch and plopped down, "but I've been getting so big and I'm so close to the due date that I really don't want to give birth to these two on a plane."

Rose laughed. "That is entirely understandable."

Ward followed Skye and set her bag and his backpack on the floor. "Thanks again, Rose."

She waved her hand. "Don't worry about it. Are you guys hungry?" Skye rose her eyebrows and Rose chuckled. "Right, never mind, sorry."

"I'll give you a hand," Ward said as he followed Rose in to the kitchen. "How are Donna and John?"

"They're good," Rose smiled, "he took her grocery shopping right now, but they should be home soon. Donna is just growing up so fast."

Ward smiled as he gave her a hand cutting the vegetables for the salad she wanted to go with the lasagna.

"How is Skye?"

"Uncomfortable," Ward chuckled, "she's not exactly thrilled with how big her stomach is and the babies are getting restless. She's so close to the due date that she just wants them out."

"I remember being extremely uncomfortable when I was in that stage. I can't imagine what it must be like having two kids instead of one," Rose admitted, pulling the lasagna out of the oven and checking it. After a moment of thought, she stuck it back in oven for another ten minutes.

"I'm going to go check on Skye," Ward said, pointing towards the living room. He walked in and sat down next to Skye. "How are you feeling?"

Skye groaned. "Awful. I can decide if I'm in pain or if I'm just hungry."

"Well, dinner should be out soon."

"Good," she nodded.

The door opened in front of them and John and Donna walked inside. "Oh, you made it," John smiled, "how long have you been here?"

"About twenty minutes, maybe," Ward answered, "not long."

Donna toddled over to Ward and wrapped her arms around his legs, making unintelligible baby sounds. Ward chuckled and picked her up. "Hey there."

The baby cooed and smiled. John smiled at the pair and then turned to Skye. "How are you doing?"

"I'm uncomfortable, hungry, and I want the babies to just be out. But otherwise, I'm good," she chuckled. "How are you?"

"Can't complain," John shrugged, walking to the kitchen to set the groceries down. He set the two bags down on the counter and moved to give Rose a quick kiss. "Need any help?"

"I'm good with food," she answered, "but if you could set the table, that would be great."

John nodded, grabbing plates and silverware, taking them to the table. He set them by each chair and then walked back to the kitchen to get the drinks. After the table was set, he popped his head in to the living room. "Dinner's ready," he announced.

Ward set Donna down and she toddled towards her father. Ward then turned to Skye, offering her a hand and helping her up.

Skye walked out of the bathroom and in to the guest bedroom later that night with an alarmed expression on her face. "Ward..."

Ward looked up at her. "What's wrong?"

"My water broke."

Ward got out of bed and rushed to grab Skye's bag, bringing it out to the car. He then came back inside and helped Skye get to the car. He looked around to tell Rose and John that they were leaving, but the couple was putting their child to bed, so Ward decided against it. He would send them a text later.

He climbed in to the driver's seat of the car and started driving towards the hospital. They pulled in and quickly got a room. Skye laid down on the bed as the doctor came in.

The doctor smiled at her. "Alright, are you ready?"

"I was ready a long time ago," Skye chuckled half-heartedly as she focused on her breathing.

Skye panted as she leaned her head against the pillow. Ward pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You did it."

Skye gave him a tired smile. "How are they?"

"The doctor says they're healthy," Ward grinned. "They're just weighing them now, they'll be brought up in a few minutes."

Skye leaned up and kissed her husband. "We're parents."

Ward returned her smile. "Yeah, we are."

There was a knock on the door and the doctor and a nurse walked in, holding the two babies. They placed one baby in Ward's arms and one baby in Skye's arms. "Congratulations, mom and dad, you have two very healthy babies, despite being two weeks early. The boy is seven pounds and eleven ounces; and the girl is seven pounds eight ounces. Unless you have any questions at the moment, we'll give you two some privacy."

"No, I think we're okay for now," Skye smiled, "thank you."

"Our pleasure," the doctor smiled, leaving the room.

Skye looked down at the little girl in her arms. "She's gorgeous."

"Name ideas?" Ward inquired, looking down at his son.

"Maya," Skye said without much hesitation, thinking back to the list she had made a few weeks ago with Ward. "Maya Ward sounds great."

"What about a middle name for her?" Ward asked.

"I kind of think Maya Nicole sounds good," she offered.

Ward nodded. "I like it."

"Alright, Maya Nicole Ward it is. What about this little guy," she motioned to the small boy asleep in Ward's arms.

"How about Andrew?" Ward offered.

Skye smiled. "Yeah, I like it. Middle name?"

"What do you think about Philip?"

"For Coulson?" Skye smiled. Ward gave her a small nod and Skye nodded back to him. "I love it. I think it's perfect."

"Maya Nicole and Andrew Philip Ward," Ward said, looking down at his two children in awe.

"They're perfect," Skye smiled.
